Hello, everyone.
During my time on this forum I've seen quite a few times how people asked about games they saw/heard of long ago and actually got answers how those were called. So I decided to try too.
Long ago, in the 90-s, there was some sort of arcade in my town. I'm saying "sort of", because part of those games were run in arcade cabinets, while other part ran on what looked like some circuitry with monitors and keyboards attached (probably it were insides of arcade cabinets too, I was a child back then and didn't know a thing).
Anyways, I remember at least two games from that "arcade". Both were scroll-shooters.
First one was vertical scroller with top-down view. And you actually could fly forward and backward relatively freely. Vehicle you controlled had a rather peculiar form (see. fig1) and you could turn around to fire in different directions or even change altitude (when you rose, your "ship" became slightly bigger). On each "level" there was a miny-boss in the middle and base-boss in the end.
Another scroller was horizontal and more on "bullet hell" side. It was rather ordinary scrollshooter (the screen moved through the level by itself, regardless of what you do) and visual style was realistic (by that time standards) with tanks, airplanes and other stuff as enemies (though one of the bosses was a walking tank, others were just big planes) - maybe there was something weirder later, I didn't got far.
So, if anyone has a clue what those games can be called, I would really appreciate that.
