It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Thinking that I'm on to something here I would like to request your participation. Recently I had a problem with offline installers for Disco Elysium which had to do with installer versions. Thanks to Schwertz this got sorted out. Disco Elysium developers' naming policy makes it hard to tell which the current version is supposed to be. This was one part of my initial problem the other was that after looking for the most current revision number online I found there was one which just didn't show up in my website library.

Using Firefox, I had to change some privacy settings and delete browser cache and site data, which had a surprising effect. After logging back in to the website, browsing my library, the newest revision of the offline installer files was shown and other games had a blue button next to them. If what I suspect is the case, I was browsing this website and only got to see cached content instead of the live version, which one would see when pressing Ctrl+F5 keys.

This leads me to the conclusion that except maybe in some cases where updates and patches are available but aren't added to our libraries, it may very well also be the case that our browser cache is the culprit, preventing us from accessing an updated version which does exist and has been made available. It can happen with any browser so whether you're using Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldi.

I would ask anyone reading this post and having noticed that some updates are missing, please delete/refresh your browser and visit your library to look whether games you've been monitoring and know for a fact they received an update which doesn't show up. Clear both your cache or press Ctrl+F5 to check. In case you get to see updates which you previously haven't and suspected it was GoG's fault, which can still be the case no denying it!, than we are on to something.

Using Firefox I found the following which may explain why this happens. There is a specific setting called browser.cache.check_doc_frequency accessible via about:config which has the following three values:

Possible values and their effects
0 - Check for a new version of a page once per session (a session starts when the first application window opens and ends when the last application window closes).

1 - Check for a new version every time a page is loaded.

2 - Never check for a new version - always load the page from cache.

3 - Check for a new version when the page is out of date. (Default)

So setting this to 0 should always show the most up-to-date version plus content of any website. This is important, because, as I found, your browser cannot always know if an updated version exists hence showing you a cached version. The website owner could send a Last-Modified header so you are always presented with the newest content which in case of GoG this either doesn't happen, so browsers cannot know whether there was an update, or it is lacking in the frame showing downloads etc.

To make a check with games I own and a list provided by WinterSnowfall I found the following:

2020-12-04 22:14:15.953046,2020-12-12 19:40:35.584449,1673367037,ATOM RPG: Post-apocalyptic indie game,osx, GALAXY: 1.72 Event GOG, LIBRARY 1.172 GOG

Browsing my library I do see that it has been updated for OSX to 1.175. Another example is Suzerain where the list indicated the following:

2020-12-19 12:13:23.652596,,1963625960,Suzerain,osx, GALAXY v1.0.5, LIBRARY v1.0.4

In fact both are 1.0.5 and 1.175 in the website library so there is no discrepancy there. Other games may also be the same across both, some may not, which I can't tell because I don't own them.

So my request is to try what I suggested and see whether something has changed. In the following you will find instructions how to change settings for Firefox:

Editing Configuration
Browser Cache Settings

Chrome users it seems only got the option to clear offline cache containing data and files. Maybe someone reading this knows and can provide instructions in case something similar to the above mentioned Firefox setting exists.
Thanks for the info. :)
