So apparently ME A goes for $48 currently on GMG with a registered account. I'm just wondering: how the fuck do they manage that? I know they had similar deals for other AAA games like Battlefield 1 and Dishonored 2.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm very much interested in buying - it's the only big budget title I foresee acquiring on launch this year - but what's the possibility of something going wrong by pre-ordering from them? I know for a fact that they run out of keys at times. That said, has anyone partaken of one these deals? Has anyone experienced any problems, i.e. key delivery delay, revoked key, etc.?

Any input would be much appreciated since if I can save a fifth in game price I'd be a fool not to take it. Before anyone goes on a rant about key sellers, as far as my experience and knowledge about GMG goes they're (or at least seem to be) one of the very few legitimate third party sites.

It's just when I see deals like this and wonder how they come about and if there's any risk involved. Hmmm... googling some more I found several mentions of more recent game launch keys not working until reissues of new ones. Hmmmmmmm.
The only game I pre-ordered on GMG was Grand Theft Auto V and never had an issue. I also picked up ME: A over the weekend. While I don't have the key yet, it is promised on (or just before) launch day. I did want the Deluxe Edition for the OST, but I can live without it for now.

I've been buying from GMG for about two years and never had a problem activating or receiving my keys. Humble Bundle on the other hand . . .

Looking forward to the next Mass Effect installment!

I haven't bought anything from GMG in the past year or so. But I've made 3 or 4 purchases in the past with no issues, always pre-orders. Humble is the only reseller where i've had problems with them running out of keys.

I was interested in pre-ordering ME myself. Then I tried playing Dragon Age: Inqusition again to see if it was still as boring and disappointing as I remembered, and it is. So i'm going to wait and see.

I've never used GMG myself but from everything I've heard over the years they seem to straddle the line between legitimate third party retailer and gray market key reseller.
Weren't they the ones who got in some kind of trouble for selling the Witcher 3 when they weren't allowed to?

Never actually bought from them (though I believe I have an account I set up for a freebie once) so can't comment beyond that.

As the post states, keys don't just appear out of thin air, so somebody somewhere has paid for them & CDPR must've got money from it.
Although it could be through cheaper regions, no idea, as neither stated. Would've thought CDPR would be able to know though where keys were sold/used.

I've used them for quite some time & never had a problem.
Just checked, bought 52 games/DLC from GMG, although a very few of those were from random things they do at times.

This.

They are both an authorized reseller, but also have done shady background deals before as well. I stopped shopping there because it is an all or nothing deal for me. You're either a legit trustworthy business or not - by my own definition, no middle ground for me.
The only thing I ever heard about GMG with regards to 'shady' dealing was with respect to The Witcher 3 keys. I'm still actually unsure how that finally played out. I've bought a number of games through GMG though, and have always heard and considered them a legit storefront, although I may have to do some more digging. As far as ME:Andromeda pricing, I can get the same deal via Amazon Prime, so the price itself isn't anything to raise eyebrows about and say "That's too good to be true".
Don't know about US prices. But in UK

I get these offers, for standard edition
EA £49.99

GMG £42.99
CDKeys £34.99

How they sell so cheap? Depends on site, Regional price jumping is one way, buying cheaper keys intended for very low income markets, and selling to the high income ones.
The worst sites are those working on the link users as go between model, widely open to stolen credit card abuse.

Due to their dispute with CDPR over Witcher 3, I've never used GMG.
They give no explanation of their low prices, and I assume they use region jumping.

CDKeys, say this is how they sell so cheap.
"Why are your products so cheap?
Our management team have over thirty years of combined experience within the industry with an extensive network of suppliers and contacts from which to source products. We buy from all corners of the globe to ensure the cheapest possible prices and as we only sell products in digital form we're able to make significant savings on postage and related expenses - we then pass these reductions on to you, which ensures our pricing is the most competitive around!"

I'd never use a reseller for any GOG game, but have no problem when (More likely if), I ever use a site that requires any online client.
I've only used CDKeys twice,.
So as the cheapest reseller I can find, if you are going to use one, check them out.

What about Humble Bundle?
Thanks for the info, guys. I may actually end up buying from Amazon instead just to ensure I won't run into any possible complications.

Interesting. I'm actually on a Prime trial right now (for the third time - pfft), so I can make use of that. It looks like it only applies to the physical release though, which is probably not much more than a game code in the box as is. *looks at box cover shot* Yup, why even bother then? Weird. Anyway, the 2 days for shipping if sent after release date wouldn't be such a bad thing either since then I should be done with my finals for this term. Hmmm. Thanks for the heads-up.

Emachine9643: What about Humble Bundle?
Flipping disaster. My entire February Monthly keys were botched and couldn't be redeemed. It took nearly a month to get it all sorted out because, you know, their award winning support. :eye roll:
have been using gmg since ages until they recently introduced the regional pricing, have had no issues.
While I had no issues buying from GMG, I never bother pre-ordering games from other sites, always doing on the platform I will play.

IIRC GMG had some issues with COD Black Ops 3 pre-order keys with people getting ROW, ROW+ pre-order bonus or straight invalid keys.
