Breja: Why the hell is the description of Doom 2017 an ad for the Nintendo Switch version?

Story: DOOM, the brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter, can now be taken anywhere with Nintendo Switch!
We can use the information currently available to determine where GOG scraped its data. My guess is.... here!
https://www.igdb.com/games/doom--1

It also has all of the stupid things like this:
https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/mickey-s-blast-into-the-past-1995
https://www.igdb.com/games/mickeys-blast-into-the-past

It is the sales blurb used everywhere

https://gameroo.co.uk/game/doom--1
https://kotaku.com/games/doom--1
https://www.igdb.com/games/doom--1
https://www.backloggd.com/games/doom--1/
https://gamelib.app/games/doom--1
etc
etc
etc

As long as the web address links to a page ending in doom--1, then that blurb shows up. And yes, doom--1 points to the switch version. Just showing that usign a scrpaer with not controll ends up with silly results.

Aha. That would also explain why most of the obscure shareware titles I wanted listed aren't there.
Dragon Quest (Warriors) VII has a typoo in the name:
https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/dragon-ques-vii

Scrapland Remastered and Fallout London show up on the 'unreleased' filter even though both are listed as Released:
https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/?show_only_unreleased=1&sort=global_wishlist_last_voted_at&order=asc

Daggerfall Unity is delisted and now just redirects forever instead of linking to a game page:

Oooh, that last one is an actual tech problem. Impressive!
The situation for the Heroes Of Might And Magic series is especially messy. We have:

- Games already on GOG:
Heroes of Might and Magic: A Strategic Quest
Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars
Heroes of Might and Magic II: Deluxe Edition
Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia
Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete Edition
Heroes of Might and Magic IV
Heroes of Might and Magic V
Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate
Heroes of Might and Magic V: Bundle

- Redundant entries:
Might & Magic: Heroes VI
Might & Magic: Heroes VI - Shades of Darkness
Might & Magic: Heroes VI Gold Edition
Might & Magic Heroes VI: Complete Edition
(surely a single entry would be enough)

Might & Magic Heroes VII
Might & Magic Heroes VII: Complete Edition
Might & Magic Heroes VII: Ultimate Edition
(same as the above)

- Stuff that doesn't belong on GOG:
Heroes of Might and Magic Online
Might & Magic Heroes Kingdom (another online multiplayer game)
fheroes2 (a recreation of the Heroes of Might and Magic II game engine)

Messy indeed. I imagine the Might & Magic blobber series is equally as messy.

Also, don't we have this? As a nonspecific goodie?

rlansing: I'm kinda surprised Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit isn't on the dreamlist yet. (It's addable, so I guess it's a matter of time.)
avatar
dnovraD: We don't even know how the mechanism of how adding games to the dreamlist even works yet. If GOG adds one of the obscure shareware titles I requested onto the dreamlist, how do they intend to tell me to start telling others?
...It was only a matter of time.

I'm fairly sure if it's in search list, it can be added right away:
Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit
Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit - Luigi Version

And if it's not on the search list, you can use the "let us know" option and send them a url. Not sure if anyone at GOG will actually review those, if the send it to the third party they get the list from (IGDB?), or if they just go into the void. We'll see.

Bonus:
Wii U console (with games)

I wonder if anyone has brought this to the attention of Blues? Because while I would consider such a solemn duty, I'm frankly not on their good side, and I'd rather not wait three moons for a response in the first place.
There's probably going to be quite a few of these that will be games with a:
console
controller
toy

Eh, pretty sure they don't care. And if they only transferred those with over 1000 votes and I recall some earlier interviews where they mentioned approaching rightsholders for all with over 500, it may be safely assumed that they don't look at those with few votes, so as long as these entries stay in that range they're for practical purposes irrelevant.
Now if one would gather a lot of votes, maybe even through some campaign by users to attract attention to the problem, it may be a little different, but somehow I doubt it even then, and doubt the fact that enough users would rally to anything and make that happen in the first place.

Their not caring would be best explained in a transparent post how they don't care. I know that's counterintuitive, but I'm frankly a bit tired of the opaqueness of the staff at times.
Edited to update: This apparently has been resolved and is no longer applicable, go vote for the Crowshaw games you want.

Hmm. If what people have posited/theorized, I assume one of those is the console release.
