In short... they are working on new stuff for their two IPs.

Honestly it's not really a surprise and IMHO way too early hyped / exited, we already knew they were working on a new Witcher and they made it clear they wanted to continue working on the Cyberpunk IP. Also, apart from the upcoming extension all those projects are in pre-production at best which means that are a couple of years away.
cyberpunk is a failure and the witcher is being milked.

Maybe they'll be able to avoid engine troubles by switching to Unreal 5.

My only interest/hope is that these are very well-received on release / continue to rebuild CDPR's reputation and help bring more AAA games here.
Let's also attach the roadmap image here. That's all the tweet was.

Why a failure? the game is great, the only failure was to release it on old gen console but the PC version is fine and the PS5/XBox series seems to like it too.

You seem to be over-looking what a feature-incomplete travesty all versions were at launch. SDPR has pulled a No Man's Sky-type redemption since, but that's no excuse for releasing the way it did.

There was no problem on PC, just some bug like any AAA these years at launch, the only problem was to think that a game like this could run on console that could barely run The Witcher 3.
I'm excited at the thought of more Cyberpunk for sure, but I hope this doesn't stop them for continuing their work to improve the first one.
"3 Witcher games in the span of 6 years"

Bold statement. Very bold statement.

I wouldn't call 20 million units sold a failure + it's been amazingly improved and fixed/patched; now it's kinda universally loved and the anime series was a huge hit.
Way to go CDPROJEKT. Insanely hard work pays off. You turned this table around for good.

Perhaps they meant galactic years...
I really really REALLY don't want to see a Witcher prequel. Things should move on from 3, or invent a different storyline (if the developers wouldn't want any connection with the first three games).
And there is NO Witcher game without Geralt as a playable character.

And we've always been at war with Eurasia, sure.

Well that solves the mystery of Sirius... all I can say is that it's being worked on heavily and appears to be an UE4 title, but then again it might be a prototype at the moment and they may switch to UE5 in the future.
