To my defense, I get rarely notified about new releases any more. I used to get newsletter on my email and used to see every piece of news pop up on my facebook wall, but not any more (well, this one probably isn't GOG's fault, but I didn't change any setting). The email newsletter comes usually late if at all - my last one is from March 26.

While I welcome stuff like Day of the Tentacle Remastered or Samorost 3, they are both a new game. I went three months back to find any relevant "old" game and didn't find any - while I've welcomed the Bethesda Bundle (one should say ID Soft 3d shooters and the old TES games), that already happened some time ago.

But please, don't forget that the purpose of my first message in this thread was to PRAISE GOG for a release I liked. I can only assume that the indie and new games pay off better than the reissuing of an old classic and while few and (what seems to be) far between, we should be glad that they do appear .

It's just that we get many threads like this. At least yours was somewhat more positive.
About classic games, just in these last 6 months we got:
Anno series, Paradox titles, some TES, ID milestones, other LA, now Xcom.
It doesn't seem that Gog stopped caring about oldies at all.

So... do you want more new old releases on GOG, or old new releases? Are old indie games ok, like Doom and Jill of the Jungle?

I personally want good games, no matter whether they are old, new, indie or corporate capitalistic peeeeegs games.

My biggest fear regarding GOG was that it would become stale for old releases.
Yes got some awesome Publishers in the last 2 years (Disney/Lucas, Warner Bros, Bethesda, Nordic Games back), but most of them had more than half of their awesome games released here.
Meaning that there was little hope for the future.

Now though, with 2K a HUGE list of old games is promised. And actually it's one of the last publishers i care having here.
The others being

SEGA
CAPCOM
KONAMI

and the old Blizzard Games.

I don't care much about Microsoft btw. But i've seen many others that do.

So this week must've been the peak for GOG in 2016. Absolutely Splendid addition!

The list of great DOS games that could be published is still huge.
There are also forgotten gems that could be resurrected and gain the popularity they deserves.

I am just happy GOG has been releasing many titles lately. Hopefully this trend will continue. Keep it up GOG!
