Nine Parchments, the co-op action game of spell-slinging pandemonium, just got updated with more arenas that will make veteran wizards stroke their beards with excitement. The game is 50% off during our Summer Sale.

These six new Arenas are intended for characters over lvl 40. You fight using five spells - your three starting ones plus two more that you pick upon entering. Lay waste to the hordes of monsters waiting within to unlock the next Arena and eventually see your name spelled high on the Leaderboards.
A new student arrives to help you face these challenges: the promising Prince Selius, armed with his own magical accessories and unique spells. You can unlock Selius through the Arena levels and find out more about him by playing the main game.

NuffCatnip: 'Twin stick' refers to the axis sticks of a controller, one is for walking (left stick) the other one for aiming (right stick).

GR00T: So it is about a controller. Which begs the question of how this would play with KB+M.
The only twin stick shooter I recall ever playing is 'Enter the Gungeon' which plays better with M+KB as you can aim way faster with the mouse than with an axis stick, I'd assume it's the same with 'Nine Parchments'.

You will want to play it with KB+M. The aiming on a controller is poorly implemented, since you can only shoot at 45 degree angles, whereas with the mouse you can shoot wherever you're pointing to.

I gave up on playing it in couch co-op as I was constantly dying on the controller and obviously you can't play it with dual KB+M.

Oh and the checkpoint system is poorly done as well - I remember we had to replay a level over and over because the same boss kept killing us, but of course we did not instantly respawn close to the boss fight, but way over at the start of the level, 2 minutes away of just walking and collecting stuff from the boss.

The frustration is strong with this one. I am disappointed by the poor design choices since I am a fan of the Trine series. Well, of the first two games at least.

Thanks for the clarification. Guess this one stays on the 'avoid' list for now.

Ahem.

Allow me to clarify.

Actually, no. I guess it's better to just demonstrate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wX1Jl_TYY3Y

In this video you'll see a guy playing a TSS in a tablet. So you can be certain it's not mandatory to use a controller.
I could say a bit of stuff, but really you'll figure it all out in ten seconds this way, including why this genre is called a twin-stick shooter and why M+KB is a perfectly adequate controlling method when playing in a computer.
I'm loving the continued support, just like I love this game. Thank you for the update guys.
