Avast has a history of issues with upgrading. Also selling of data collection about its users.

Before you do all that, make sure you run a ====>>>>MANUAL<<<<==== update of Norton's virus sig files just to make sure the issue hasn't been corrected already and scan the file again.

Both Avast and Avira also had major screw-ups in the past (like deleting important Windows files...).

Norton is trash. Get Avast or Aviara.

It only says Heur.AdvML.B. That's all it says under threat name.

Norton is anti pc.

But seriously, as others have said, you should really consider using a different anti-virus.

I used to have that problem too. Now I do not. :)

funny, I think norton is a virus

Norton, on uninstall some time ago, disabled networking on that computer. Presumably, so i'd panic and reinstall.

Norton is useless bloatware and also a waste of money.
