edit: My second significant other was four foot nothing. Really sucked that she couldn't only hug my belly but I really did care for her. Still do in fact.

On vacation last week visiting my wife's relatives, I was a 6-foot giant among 5-footers. And it wasn't just the family: when we went shopping or sightseeing, much the same thing depending on where we went. Stuck out like a sore thumb.

Kris would always complain about cricks in her neck by the end of her day from looking up all the time. We had a couple folks in our school who were in wheel chairs who said the same.

Whenever I talked to one of them, I always tried to sit down to be on their level. Some were grateful, others were not so.

I spent time with a jogger who complained about people not giving her enough space on sidewalks so she could jog by. Three decades later and I'm still making room.

Reading that page, it sounds more like Spinner Appreciation Day.
