Anyone find it weird how droids in SW are fully sentient beings yet seem to be basically slaves (regardless of whether they're in the Empire or Republic/Rebellion).

As for bland: You nailed it. Luckily for us we have alot of rabid fans who do much better impersonations to fill their places.I remember in the KOTOR games(and elsewhere) that they basically have it as canon that their memory cores must be wiped every so often to PREVENT them from becoming too individualistic/independent. Poor droids.
