Dark_art_: It has on/off option but infortunatelly not always works. On some updates it brings Big Picture when I plug the controller, while in others only borks the overlay and fps counter. Sometimes is working ok.
I had to stop using the Steam overlay to message friends and start to use alt+tab (wich is slow) to get on Windows desktop to type.
I do like to control my games with controller, like Retroarch or RetroPie but if GOG develops a controller UI, lets hope is not like Steam Big Picture...
Oh, and BTW, I really like the new Steam UI, even if seems I'm the only one.
yeah. i meant an on/off that works properly. like a big setting switch with a whole load of settings below it.
ALL big pic functionality on/off - off means just work like it used to before.
if on then fiddle with all the overlays, and should having a connected controller automatically switch BP mode on etc etc etc.
adding new features is cool, but for something like this there should be a "nah thanks, just leave it working the old way for me" checkbox.
i don't mind the new steam ui. i don't use steam very much anymore (in fact until a couple of months ago i hadn't used it for about 2 years) but all i really care about it is launching my games so as long as i get to do that in an efficient manner: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
