richlind33: Read Emma Goldman and come back and tell me that Sarkeesian isn't a vapid twat. ;p
By short biography on Wikipedia, Emma Goldman sounds like she was one cool lady.

Very cool. She went to Kronstadt around the time of the rebellion and saw communism up close and personal -- and was sickened by it.

And the fact she was involved with assassination attempt on some tycoon?

Hey, French Revolutions and English Civil War weren't much better, and those were liberal/capitalist!

Pretty sure she had no direct involvement. Knew some of the people that did and didn't throw them under the bus, which cost her.

KiNgBrAdLeY7: You might want to have your eyesight checked. Few years back, gog decided to have moderation on the forums (there was none). To the point that there were bans, even because some users took offense in other users' avatars of choice. Bunch of heavy money spenders here, that are pro this cr@p you don't like, even stooped so low as to openly "blackmail" gog, that if they didn't make their "property" less toxic and more "snowflake-friendly", they would downright boycott gog games and even convince all the people they know of, to stop buying here.

Worst of all, modern day, curation rejects games with "cringe" content, such as Agony for example, because it made lots of people "upset"; with little other excuse, than "it's too niche for gog store".

You might want to have both your eyesight and memory checked, in fact. GOG isn't what it used to be. Abolished core-policies of old and meaning of GOG abbreviation (Good Old Games) even, aren't the only things that changed down the years, alas. You missed the "party". Be careful what you say/post, too, because you might end up silenced (temporarily, mostly).

If you don't like this "culture" and the new customs in the land, remember to exert your voting right, when time comes. Politics affect us all. They have intruded even in gaming and gaming culture.
Well, when certain people refer to others as "sub-humans" and advocate genocide, as well as having avatars explicitly showing a rainbow flag with a bar through it, all while preaching white supremacy, then yeah. GOG would likely want to not drive away the large amounts of people that offends than the relatively small number of extremists who support such disgusting language. Aren't you glad not to be inundated with pretty despicable attacks on 1/2 the world's population anymore?

Apologies, but you 're hallucinating, pal. Who the hell ever said anything about whites being superior? And what does all this have to do with certain games being rejected, especially uncensored ones, with curation saying "it's too niche"; while the actual reason is quiite different?

Making up stuff is one thing, but enforcing such inconsistencies to be a rule and a norm, is simply something else. Thankfully, people both here and in Steam, discuss such "hot" topics from time to time, keep their eyes open and keep notes.

Keep up the good work. "It's too niche"! And absolutely, entertaining!

I never said you said it. And I never addressed games being too niche. I merely asked your thoughts on the atmosphere now that the more extreme speech on both sides has been curtailed some. You should know how I stand on the subpar curation here. If you didn't you do now. No one is making up anything, nor was I addressing points that I, at the very least, don't entirely disagree with.

I'm not siding with such sick people, but you DO know that the numbers of those people affected by such sayings who actually give a damn about such to the extent that it seriously offends them(the avatar example you mentioned and referring to others in bad ways example as a base level) is in the minority of cases.

I apologize again, maybe my eyesight and perception has gone bad, but in all due honesty, i fail to see things the exact way you describe them. I don't see "two-ways", but mostly, one sided. Certain users offend others and get away with it, while when the latter try to reply in the same manner and come back, are being "warned" (not in my personal experience, i happened on somebody else discussing that, before). And since you mentioned avatars, i was confronted by a moderator when i had the Potus as one, while somebody else who had him but in a very degrading fashion (with filth and flies over his face), well, nobody ever pestered said user at all.

And i still remember the Easter thread. Even though i couldn't care less about the offenses hurled in there, it was a fine example of how things now work. And how long it takes for "moderation" to act, as well as to what degree/extent.

Still, though, the serious issue at hand is games. Grimoire, Agony and others, that have been thoroughly discussed, before. I rest my case. I am too tired to argue, especially in an environment that whatever i say, is going to be used against me (not by you). Let alone that free speech and discussing opinions, cost me something very important, because some no-lifers bothered enough to "fan" & tail me, online and offline. Cheers.

Rumors that Anita Snarkeesian 'courting' CD Project Red over Cyberpunk might be because Feminist Frequency is going broke. Don't mean to sound cruel, but I hope so. They've been poisoning people for years with a terrible ideology I frankly think they don't even believe in for $.
