...DONT YOU DO THAT
not in these tryin' times.

you can play with your hair, tho. i think?! pls dont let my hair get corona'd
But playing with my hair isn't a really good substitute. :(
Alright. I'll touch other people's faces then. ;)
Don't face police me bro!

Also my hair is precious keep ya filthy hands by yourself where they belong.
Thank you for the advice, all the acne went away now!

My hair reached my eyes a few days ago. I'm getting desperate for a haircut.
Why are you always a strange person? lol
Actually i believe you can touch your face after you have washed your hands with soap or used disinfectants using the medical procedure of washing hands.

Hopefully you don't hate me for this but the reason why people say "don't wash your hands" is because of the virus entering your mucosae (or mucous membrane). If you scratch your face with your fingers because something tingles its not the end of the world, you get infected if you touch your mouth and dive your finger close to your nostrils and breath the virus in. Basically, keep your hands away from all those major holes you have, you're most likely still fine if you just touch your cheek and neck by accident so don't get nervous :>. And you're correct, washing your hands for 20-30 seconds after you've arrived at home is fine, after that you can touch your face as usual. Be also aware to wash the space between your fingers, thats a good spot where many germs love to be around.

Enough of this talk! To keep this thread weird, did you know if you smell a fart that a stranger let out you're actually inhaling very tiny little poop particles and all those hundreds of thousands of germs they bring with them and you don't even notice that other than being slightly annoyed, isn't that something? The immune system is amazing for sure.

I shaved my head. :(

But I got plenty of hair on my chest. I guess I'll play with those...

Thanks!

Sure, but that alone doesn't save you. The doctors don't seem to have a consensus of the different ways the virus spreads.

Considering how fast it is spreading, I have hard time believing it spreads mainly by someone sneezing right at my face, or me touching my hand to dirty places and then my face.

Just read yesterday one news article where it was claimed it seems the virus can stay airborne much longer than many believe, so someone merely having sneezed three minutes ago on the same aisle where you are on the supermarket, you might get the virus from air from the aerosol. There are indications that e.g. SARS spread like this in some apartment buildings etc.

So merely keeping a distance to others might not be enough, you'd also need to avoid areas where people have visited some time ago.

Also, the way some people protect their mouth and nose with a mask but leave their eyes unprotected... the virus can infect you also through your eyes! So people, PLEASE LEARN TO WALK WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED!!! Blind people can do it, so certainly you should be able to do it too. Buy a dog to guide you if needed.

Just to be sure, I'm walking around with a snorkel mask, keeping a cork in the snorkel. I don't know if it helps but at least it seems to amuse other people.
Yes, speaking of hysteria...

Even if you take a bath in alcohol for at least 5 minutes, sterilize your clothes, and then go outside again, you're still going to get bacteria/viruses on you in a relatively short amount of time.

Those that reside inside of you, you can't do much about them, unfortunately.

Ever see the multi-stage decontamination scene from the original version of the film "The Andromeda Strain"? They talk about handling that as well(in a somewhat gross manner).
Learn how to properly greet people in this times...
It is amusing to watch so many people floundering around when the Hindu tradition of Pranamasana (standing erect whilst placing of the hands palm-together —— Añjali Mudrā) is perfectly adapted for such times, and has been around for millennia.

Gaud... another movie I haven't seen. Actually, haven't seen either of them :D

Come to think of it, I haven't seen the 28 days movie either. But, I have seen Del Toros Andomeda Strain series, which I absolutely love!

PS: Speaking of touching things, I'm going to answer you here;

Yes, coin exchange is somewhat a hazard, luckily, at least here we mostly use card. Downside is, everyone is touching everywhere on the card terminals, and naturally, these plastic cards / terminals don't react well to alcohol or disinfectants. (But security wise, using nfc to just swipe the card isn't much better either...)

Speaking of dirty coins, like most children I would put coins in my mouth to such on them... I prefer to think it made my immune-system more resilient because I'm "never" sick, at least usually no longer than a day tops with mild symptoms like headaches and tiredness (mostly due to dehydration).

Sometime ago I bought some disinfectant with "artificial alcohol" or something, don't recall the chemical name, but that one was really great on things like mobile phones, keyboards, mouse, steering wheel etc...

PS2: Sorry for your loss...
