For several weeks I've consistently had a purple ball. It's just not going away.

Anybody else suffering from this condition?

Well, actually I used Lexor's suggestion to simply click on the bell icon and then choose "clear notifications". Can't believe that I missed this option (I *think* it's because they don't use any colour there?).

I have a purple tentacle (that's a DotTentacle pun before anyone goes oh er missus!)
