It's the joy of being bothered. The joy of "calling someone to order". The joy of defining a harmless indiosyncrasy as a catastrophy, in order to justify this attitude as righteous self-defense. Added to a commonplace inability to care for content beyond form, with the consequence that the rare genuine general gaming discussions on this gaming forum are now permanently greyed out.
In short : that's the gog forum crowd. For various reasons, I keep hoping that this forum's users mentalities are not representative of gog customers in general.

A wierd question came up to me: What numbers have the following properties?
* Number has 3 (decimal) digits
* All 3 digits are the same (like 111, for example)
* The number is congruent to 1 (modulo 3)
So, what number could I be thinking of with these properties?

Simple version: The number is one more than a multiple of 3. (Alternatively, divide the number by 3 and the remainder is 1.)
Full version: a and b are congruent (modulo m) iff a - b is a multiple of m (in other words, there exists a k such that a - b = km). (Note that all variables are integers.)

Okay, I see... but I know only three of the basic mathematical operations.

Here; I'll express the problem without using division or modulus:
Take a number.
Multiply it by 3.
Add 1.
If the result is a three digit number with all digits the same, then that result is the number I'm looking for.

(This shouldn't be a hard proof; it's just standard practice to ask for this sort of thing.)
