Indeed. But other than the somewhat bonkers view at the end, the interview was good with great information. And it made me want to read that book of his about the CIA's heavy involvement in the drugs trafficking. I've heard stuff like that before, but it sounds like this one is very well researched with solid sources.

Every empire in history has claimed to be benevolent or that they do it out of the goodness of their heart, educating the population they suppress, and so on and so forth. The US empire is no different here. They have to come up with some kind of reason for the madhouse policies, and this is a common one. Same with the French, British, Romans, and one could go on.
