Arise from the dead as the “Cursed King” in an enthralling action platformer – Beyond the Ice Palace 2 is here, with a 10% launch discount until March 24th, 4 PM UTC!

Wield the chains that once imprisoned you to vanquish foes and traverse your fallen kingdom. Uncover hidden areas, strategically level up, and reclaim your throne by banishing colossal bosses!

Now on GOG!
Wikipedia says that Beyond the Ice Palace (1) is/was "a platform game published by Elite Systems in 1988 for the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, and ZX Spectrum". No PC release, though, which might explain why I haven't heard of this game (now a series) before. Looks very good however.

This game looks great - glad it finally launched. I do hope we see more from PixelHeart, because they've put out some really good games over the years and DRM-free versions would be nice.
I forgot it releases today, might pick it up before the end of the week, congratulations to all involved in this release!

GOG.com: Wield the chains that once imprisoned you to vanquish foes and traverse your fallen kingdom.
But I'm no King, just a chained mortal (used to be) cursed to bare my chains ??? Avenge what (better excuse needed)?

NM:
[Mild movie spoilers ahead]
Anyway, seems very epic, reminds me of T. Burton's > Johnny Depp's

Sweeney Todd: [holding up one of his razors] At last! My arm is complete again!

And
"""
Sweeney Todd: [sung] They all deserve to die. Tell you why, Mrs. Lovett, tell you why! Because in all of the whole human race, Mrs. Lovett, there are two kinds of men and only two. There's the one staying put in his proper place and one with his foot in the other one's face. Look at me, Mrs Lovett! Look at you! No, we all deserve to die... Even you, Mrs Lovett, even I! Because the lives of the wicked should be made brief. For the rest of us death will be a relief. We all deserve to die... And I'll never see Johanna, no I'll never hug my girl to me... FINISHED!

Edit: Oh my, I'd love to stream old movies from GoG. (think it's the 3-rd time I ping @GoG for the same)
Just imagine: play a game, that sets you into a movie mood, watch it, or reverse. That's the COMPLETE user experience a site proposes.

Sir, that's what the Internet Archive is for. You can even access it through Kodi which will allow you to stream it on every device you have. There's plenty of classics on there.

My point is GoG getting my money instead of landing them to the big three (HBO, Netflix, Disney+. (Amazon blocked me years ago; would otherwise be the big four). I'm spending more money to movies than to games, guess it's common, but could be wrong.
.....bruh.....Prince Nuada called and wants his image back.....

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Let's be entirely real here. GOG doesn't have that large of a staff as it is. I couldn't imagine them even considering a movie option, especially as they already shutdown their entire movie branch this year. Please keep in mind that the staff has said that some pretty decent games get passed over because they just don't have a large enough staff to handle all of them. IMO the dreamlist makes it easy for GOG to see what should be a priority with their small staff. With the limited faculty that GOG has compared to say Steam or Epic, I think it's best that GOG be GOG and stick with games.
