Precise, calculated, efficient.

Frozen Synapse, a tactical game of staying one step ahead - complete with a bonus copy for a friend, is available now for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 60% discount.

A tactical game, as pure and fair as they come: turn-based, brutal and efficient. You'll make precise movements with every step, your every turn of the head will be deliberate - a calculated risk.

A shootout, 1.5 seconds, three casualties and an intense aftermath. Now the clock counts down from twenty for Red Commander. Red Two observes the battlefield from behind cover while Red One scouts around the left. There's no one to watch his right flank, a lethal opening, but the chaos of battle did not reveal your hand to the enemy. Hopefully.

The clock counts down from twenty for Green Commander. Most of the team now bathes in a pool of scarlet blood. It's two against one, but stranger games have been won - people do get cocky. You caught a split-second glimpse of Red just before the first shots were fired, and it's your only trail. Peek around the corner, hugging cover, careful but decisive.

Red Two barely saw the greens of his enemy's eyes, betrayed by a gamble to protect a squad mate's life. Red One is blind now without a lookout, but remains concealed and knows exactly where to look now. The clock counts down from ten in the final turn. Deep breath. Your orders, commander?

Frozen Synapse comes with two game-keys one for you, one for a friend. You'll be able to find your bonus redeemable key alongside the game on your shelf.

Enhance your Frozen Synapse experience with the Red DLC, featuring a new co-op mode for the original single-player campaign, as well as all-new missions, new units, new game modes, an amazing OST (in FLAC and MP3) and new game enhancements!

Frozen Synapse, a fair, simple but deep, and overall incredible tactical game is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last for one week, until Thursday, September 10, 12:59 PM GMT.
Would you look at that. The Linux version was released at the same time.

Wishlisted for now, since I already have these DRM free from other stores.
please stop with all these new games, there was a time when people would bitch about, no new games, it's getting boring now.

:P

you're making the wishlist redundant .

Already own the base game several times elsewhere, any possibility of a GOG key so I can buy the DLC here?

Well, theorically I should have a second key. Wait a min.
Pretty impressive grab, guys! FS has been crippled by DRM for way too long. Great to finally see a real version of the game come out, and I love the double-key thing.

Oh no, I was appealing to the developers as they've already had my money. You paid for your spare key, it should go to someone who doesn't already own it.

Well, I didn't ask for that spare key. AND I'd be mildly surprised if the devs offered you one, but who knows. If they don't, feel free to use that one.

Thank you, but I really can't accept it. I feel like the whole point of your spare key is so you can play the game with a friend. It would be a waste for me to accept it as someone who already owns the game. Last time I checked, they didn't sell DLC at the store I do own the game at, so it would be in their interests to enable me to buy the DLC. If the developers don't want my money then that's fine.

I don't play multi, and my friends don't play videogames, it's not an activity i share with them. So, do as most convenient, but don't worry about the intended role of that key. It's a useless bonus, for me.

Well I still feel like if it's going to go to a random person on the forum, it should go to someone who doesn't already own the game... Again, thank you for the offer though!
Looks interesting, but i dont know how the single player fares compared to the multiplayer, is the AI also blind to our moves as a human player? In some games of various genres, the AI magically "knows" my every move.
Also abit pricey even discounted, considering i wouldnt have a use for the second key.
Vote for the base game's soundtrack to be added as DLC!

The sound track is kind of expected with this game by now. It is really nice too.

I bought FS and Red from the developers an age ago. I guess getting it here is not too much of a pain, my only issue is that the soundtrack really should be included. I have it on my HD, so I got it when I bough the game ~2 years ago, so why do GOG not have it as well.

Another enlightened soul. Welcome to the club! :D

"The game looks like CS2D in the TRON universe" was my first thought...niiice!

But how is it with these keys? Isn't that technically DRM?

You probably purchased the bundle from the developers site that includes the soundtrack and Red DLC. If so, you didn't get the soundtrack for free, you paid more than the base game price to get it. See here:

If the soundtrack isn't free on the developers site or Steam, why would they make an exception for GOG? I just want the same chance to purchase the soundtrack here as elsewhere.
