Oh brother, where art thou?

Hiveswap: Act 1 is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, 25% off until May 2nd, 3pm UTC.
Two kids. Lots of monsters. A bucketload of point & click fun. Trapped inside their house (and treehouse), besieged by nasty beasts, Joey and her brother Jude must find their way out of this mess before, like, aliens start showing up! Oh wait…

Get the Soundtrack separately for your collection or grab it together with the game in the Soundtrack edition.

This is the first Act of a planned four-part series.
Forum POP!
According to the Polish version of the NEWS thread,
the 25% off launch discount will end at May 2, 17:00.

I guess that time is based on Poland.
I suggest the developers add some more languages, at least text.
wow, I've spent so maaaaany hours with the original Homestuck...

I'm really interested how did this turn out!
Adding to wishlist untill all chapters have been released.
This isn't exactly what I was expecting for GOG to release.

Still, whatever floats your Bubsy.
Point and click :)))
Cute.
Funny.
Low system requirements.

Instabuy - as soon as the devs got all acts together.

Having said that ..... the fair price package of € 4.89 is rather tempting..... can't be much better..... Hmmmm....
Are Acts 2-4 expected to be sold separately, or does the current pricing include all future episodes?
Rebought on GOG (already own on Humble). Glad to see this here. :)

For those contemplating buying: Be aware that this game has been the victim of foul play and development hell, and 'Act 1' is by no means a complete experience, even at the low asking price.

If you want to support the developers/continuation of the series by all means go ahead - what's there isn't bad, but it is very, VERY short. To the point where the ending credits may well have been the opening credits of a complete 'episodic game'-style release.

agreed but 3ghz double core is not low and i am sure they could have lowered the recommended if they had not used the vector looking graphics ....:
i like point and click but this game is quite colorful and things are hard to tell a part, i also wonder why the items you have in inventory need that white/blue background ? the items could have been transparent meaning no background

Processor: Dual core 3.0GHz+

Bear With Me : 4.99 or 9.98 (CE) also point and click and the walkthroughs are 1 hour 53 and 2 hours 6
so Bear With Me

The Bear With Me - Collector's Edition contains all three episodes, telling the whole story of Amber and Ted. It also includes the original soundtrack, a digital art book and full puzzle and script design document

youtube:

First EP is free to play at Steam

Bear With Me: Episode 3 Walkthrough Gameplay & Ending FULL Game (PC)
Bear With Me: Episode 2 - Full Game Walkthrough Gameplay & Ending (PC) :

but Bear with me is only:
ALL REVIEWS:
Very Positive (598)

and Hive Swap :
ALL REVIEWS:
Overwhelmingly Positive (2,202)

so i guess the number of + reviews decides wether a game arrives here.

My favorite graphic style is the classic style like Kathy Rain has, and many other older games.... i have few vector games but these pixelart games are my favorite.

Now, this is an interesting one. I am glad that the game's store page mentioned that it takes place in the Homestuck universe, because this art style would've been an insane rip-off it it wasn't. I don't know that I would go so far as to call myself a fan of the webcomic, but I have read quite a bit of it.

To anyone who has played this game, will being familiar with the comic enhance your experience? It seems like they've made it approachable for those who aren't, but I'm just curious if being a fan improves your enjoyment of the game.

The main character looks like an Emoji movie escapee. Backgroundsare ok to nice, though.

Yes, but being familiar with it is not required. You'd miss out on some of the references, basically.
