Venture through the Labyrinth of the Demon King, solving puzzles and fighting fearsome monsters – now available on GOG!

It’s a challenging first-person dungeon crawler, set against the backdrop of a mythical feudal Japan besieged by demons. As a lone foot soldier, embark on a quest to track down and slay the Demon King who killed your Lord. But will you have the skill, resources and stamina needed to survive through all the horrors this brutal world will throw at you?

Now on GOG!
Wonder how this would be 5gb in size, as it is suggested?

PSX only normally fit onto a standard cd size disc.

Perhaps if the devs were more realistic with pricing a game, they intentionally made to look like literal crap. It would sell better, in terms of unit amount. Like, $5.

edit: Forgetting words, makes for crazy be....so say confoozhus xD

Keihltrein: I sometimes wonder... does something actually makes you happy?

Breja: Yes, people ignoring all my positive comments and all the times I go out of my way to write whole paragraphs of praise whenever I get the opportunity to recommend some good games, and instead fixating on the times I state that an obviously ugly game is ugly.
The ugly art style is very much intentional, it goes for that cracky psx look but with rusty textures and limited visibility (just like Silent hill), of course it's going to be ugly, but that's the point if they're going for an oppressive and deterring atmosphere

You can't compare this to other, cheap looking games that are unintentionally ugly

That's a bit like saying that if a chef cooks me a meal that tastes bad on purpose I shouldn't be allowed to say it's disgusting.

If someone has nostalgia for these kind of visuals, or just likes this style and thinks it creates a great atmosphere - fantastic! Good for you, play it, have fun, why do you care what some douchebag said in the comments? But to me it still looks less appealing to me than used chewing gum.

viperfdl: But I'm curious: is this game an RPG with skills, XP and character growth or is this more of an action game. The former could interest me, the later not so much.
The only stats you can affect directly are stamina and health (by offering incense at shrines, to raise one or the other), thus far at least.
Seems to follow its main inspiration (the King's Field series) rather closely as far as almost non-existent character progression is concerned.

So it's more of an action game. No really what I was hoping for. Oh well, thanks for the answer anyway.

All two of them. Poor you. Mostly you whinge and complain, so don't act surprised when you get a reputation like this.

So you can spew your opinions around freely, but nobody can comment on them? Don't think it works like that!

How did you get "nobody can comment on them" from that? I just said no one should care so much :D It's just my opinion about a video game, it's not a personal attack on people who disagree. I mean, if you really feel the need to pester me about it and derail a thread every time - knock yourself out. But there are ... a few people here whom I genuinely can't stand, and I just tend to ignore them. It's healthier for everyone I think.

I guess. I just dislike the hostility of it all. And I really have spent so much time writing whole paragraphs again and again to entice more people to play stuff like Ghost of a Tale or Chains of Satinav or Driftmoon and many others whenever an opportunity came up... but you're right. I should just embrace it and double down on it. I've been letting too many new releases slide recently. Now, which ones I haven't complained about yet...

It's healthier for everyone if you stop with all the whining, and actually make constructive comments. "This looks bad durrrrrrrr" on every topic (yeah yeah, but it feels that way) is already derailing them, so you're not really in a position to complain about derailing. If there are actual problems that you know about, preferably from having played the game, then that's the sort of thing people want to read. So don't come at me with "echo chamber" nonsense; "constructive" doesn't mean "only post positive things."
This brings me very good memories of playing the first Silent Hill. A game which I would gladly buy if Konami ever decided to port it to PC. Even with the same old Playstation graphics.
Shame that the "suits" at Konami are just a bunch of retards who don't know how to earn money.

Ah, so commenting on the game in the game's release thread is derailing it. Very interesting. But of course, it's only the negative comments, right? "I like how this looks" is derailing, but "I don't like how this looks" is not? Or is everyone derailing these threads all the time? Because most posts in these release thread are just that - people who have not played the game yet giving their first impressions.

Yeah, you're just a troll. As terrible a perpetually whining person as I am, at least I don't pester anyone, I just leave my comment and ignore people I don't like. And I'm going to keep doing that, so you'll just have to put up with posts and the fact I won't respond to you anymore. Bye!

Good job just ignoring everything I actually said and just making stuff up in your head. Typical.
