Thank you to the developer and GOG staff for the simultaneous multiplatform release. Happy to be getting this here at the same time as everyone else.

No, it looks like The Silent Hill Dungeon Crawler.

A mystical feudal Japan besieged by demons would just be a SMT game set in 1200 CE.

Also, those are some of the crunchiest textures I've seen.

Super happy to see this launch on GOG alongside everything else. Purchased to play on Steam Deck and it's running well so far :)
Going in the library as soon as I'm home, thanks J. R. Hudepohl, Top Hat & GOG.
Looks like something I'd watch on over-the-air TV with a crappy reception 30 years ago. Is that the nostalgia vibe they tried to emulate?

Looks like someone made a game out of used toilet paper.

Feudal simply means "governed by the feudal system", which Japan was in the Sengoku era, which the presence of firearms suggests the game takes place in.

Also, "challenging first-person dungeon crawler" is pretty much what King's Field, Fromsofts very first IP, & Shadow Tower, a more horror focused spinoff series of King's Field, are; & that's relevant because together, King's & Shadow Tower pioneered all the tropes Fromsofts later Souls games popularized. That's why I've been calling "Soulsborne" games played in first-person King's-heir games; because whether the developer realizes it or not, the first-person perspective makes it resemble King's Field & Shadow Tower more than a traditional Soulsborne. Labryinth of the Demon King is a King's-heir game; one that leans more towards the Shadow Tower end of that spectrum than the King's Field end.
What else isn't trying to emulate something, especially in these times of perpetual pop-cultural regurgitation.
Great to see this release here day one, onto the wishlist it goes for now! Already spent more than my budget allows with all the amazing releases here recently, my poor wallet! Thank you Top Hat and GOG!

Yes, people ignoring all my positive comments and all the times I go out of my way to write whole paragraphs of praise whenever I get the opportunity to recommend some good games, and instead fixating on the times I state that an obviously ugly game is ugly.

You're right, it is ugly and reminds me of the time when the 3D-graphics in some games were so blurry that it was hard to recognise anything on screen.

But I'm curious: is this game an RPG with skills, XP and character growth or is this more of an action game. The former could interest me, the later not so much.

Not going to do a big deal out of this, but I'm not consciously ignoring anything, if i said what i said is because i haven't seen one.
