It was not all too long ago that a friend pointed me out, quite exited, how Master of Magic will receive not only a 2020 re-release but even will have a remastered version this game finally deserves. Since then its been cursing in secret on a weekly basis, trying to understand this silly little game of perfection stemming from the old age. See, i never had myself acquainted with this jewel of the past ( in a similar version i never played Moo ) and was quite stunned with the one more turn addiction i soon found myself into after beginning to play.

In short, do you like your 4x served nicely then go and give the game a try, it is discounted at the moment so no need for wife and wallet excuses.

Would Moo and others deserve a faithful 2021 remaster too ?

Having them remastered sure would be great, especially for people who never got to play the games and do not especially enjoy the old graphics and interface. A better resolution, an interface that is easy to use, why not. On the other hand, a portion of the people who played the games back in the day seems to bark at these remakes. I wonder what what guidelines ought to be followed to leave the barking crew as reduced in size as possible. That is, how to make a remake that is both a good game playable for both new and old hands.
I think it would be interesting. There have been somewhat similar games (e.g. Warlock: Master of the Arcane and its sequel; the Age of Wonders series; Fallen Enchantress / Sorcerer King Rivals; Worlds of Magic) but there is something special about the original.

hah, you'll probably end up with the impossible, the game should look feel and work exactly they way it worked 20 years ago only better more advanced and more beautiful
