I just spend 1 hour trying to solve a CAPTCHA just to login to play a single game that only exists on the gog store (no where else in existence).

Why do I bother spending my income on buying this game when the host "GoG" is so stupidly inefficient that I cannot even enjoy my purchased product? You people have encouraged me to pirate the game, just to bypass this CAPTCHA

It also took me an additional 15-20 minutes to do the CAPTCHAs requried to post on this forum. If you do not remove CAPTCHAs or fix them, I will send my bots to attack this website's traffic.

Well, I never have to solve Captchas, I just don`t log out from GOG. Oh and why does one need to solve Captchas to play a game? My games are installed on my HD and I can play them just fine without any Captchas!

I don't even know what CAPTCHAs this spam is about. I can't remember the last time I saw any on GOG.

If you're trying to solve a CAPTCHA you're doing it wrong. It's not a puzzle.

The game looks for an optical drive, as part of its old copy protection scheme. If you don't have one, don't panic and don't listen to the idiots who say it can't be run in single player mode without an optical drive. They are wrong. All you need to do, is get an emulator or of you already have windows 10, find an ISO or other CD/DVD.BD image and mount it. This will create a virtual optical drive and the game will see it as an optical drive and run.

This info can be found with a simple search, instead of assuming the worst and throwing a hissy fit. If you are going to run old games on new hardware, you need to be aware of these gotchyas and caveats!

I use VirtualClone Drive for viewing ISOs I get from the internet archive.

You are getting bent out of shape and refuse to use another program to do something that the devlopers or publishers refuse to patch out. How much is this bot army going to cost you in terms of electricity usage, wear on hardware, and wasted time for accomplishing absolutely nothing. Is this a bot army that you programed? Is this a bot program that you downloaded? I would suggest to grabbing Virtual Clone Drive while you look for a good bot program.

In my experience there were 3 times when GOG asked me to solve CAPTCHA for login, it was pure hell. I have no idea why I got it and why I don't get it anymore.

Whatever the cause GOG must remove CAPTCHA from login window for ALL users. But GOG is not interested in what I think.

I don't think I've ever seen a captchca on GOG. Certainly not anytime recently.

I stand with you against these dehumanizing cyberviolent practices. For all we know, Babaji's family is starving because he cannot sell his spells online and I have no wish to partake in pushing bot operators into poverty.
