teceem: It's physically impossible to raise the resolution of a pixel image. Scaling and interpolating can't add image information that was never there in the first place.
I would be surprised in this day and age that there is some kind of problem scaling it up and automatically filling in the blanks. We have programs that can build 3d models from 2d pictures and all sorts of other programs to intelligently manipulate images.
In fact, you could take a 2d to 3d program and rebuild and rerender those type of games.
I think they still hold up with the type of graphics,the interesting story and puzzles which work together and puts them ahead of, johnny come lately, walking simulators.
