Hi everyone! I was playing DOS2 with my friends, then we didn't play for a few days and I started a solo campaign on the same profile, all offline, without syncing game saves.

Today we wanted to resume our campaign, but when I went to load the game I discovered that all my quick saves had been overwritten by those of my campaign (damn you DOS). Fortunately I was offline when playing solo, so my cloud saves would still be intact.

However, when I first launched the game this morning and it asked me to choose between cloud saves and local saves, I told him to prefer local saves. Now, I know for a fact that it didn't sync the saves yet. However, I cannot force it to re-ask me which saves I prefer. In the middle I also tried a few things like unticking and re-ticking the "Sync local saves with GOG Galaxy Cloud", and I fear I may have lost forever my cloud saves.

Is there anything I can do to recover them?

No idea. What it does highlight is rather than relying on some dodgy software todo this for you, organise your own save backups. You can copy out saves from games, name them what you like, keep as many as you like, even alter them if you are so inclined, all fully under your control and not at the whim of a third party.

Into the extras inside Galaxy you can download manually a backup of the cloud saves. You can try and see if they are different saves
