My cousin recently built a pretty sweet gaming computer and told me I'm welcome to play my own games on there if I wish. My concern is that we have different games in our GOG libraries from each other and was worried if GOG Galaxy would throw a fit seeing the other person's games when we switch who is logged in. Is there any risk of getting auto-banned or other issues?

My GF used galaxy but i don't. Didn't throw a fit nor did I get banned. However, there's no reason to say that won't happen in the future. Sure is nice getting to play my games on her computer, though.

Unless your cousin lives with you in the same household to be considered personal use, you legally cannot share accounts. Don't ruin it for the rest of us, please.

Also, there is no limit to the number of redownloads, but please remember that you're not allowed to share your GOG account with other users as only you are entitled to download items from your account.

However, if you think about installing your game on a friend's machine or sharing it with others then please don't do it, okay? The same principle applies to movies - you're free to watch them anywhere you want, with anyone you want, as long as you don't share them with people who haven't purchased them.

Your account and games are for your personal use only. If you want to share them, you can always buy a gift for that person. The DRM-free nature of our service means that we trust you that this will not be abused.

Re: Can GOG games be shared with others in my household?

In short, yes, you are.

I didn't say anything about sharing accounts, nor did I say we would be sharing games.

Sorry, misunderstood.

No issues. Games will appear, but won't be connected to your accounts. If you want to avoid this, you could install your games on a USB 3.0 or newer (5+ Gbps) stick to play on their PC, logout, and remove USB stick when finished. Tested by disabling a drive on a new account.

Or you could not use Galaxy at all and play the games via offline installers. You can install the games on you own Windows account on separate folders, say your cousin install on C:/GOG Games and you on C:/Games.
