So was just browsing the web and I ended up finding this.

The Movies that should have won the Academy Awards for Best Picture, according to the Rotten Tomatoes community:

And my goodness some of these choices rustle my jimmies. (The Hustler > West Side Story)

And some of these choices surprised me and not what I expected from Rotten Tomatoes (Annie Hall still beating Star Wars)

Precious few examples where I've seen both :P
Let's see, I kinda agree with them for UP over The Hurt Locker and perhaps Taxi Driver over Rocky, but I definitely don't agree with Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon over Gladiator, or LA Confidential over Titanic.
Using the Tomatometer as a rating is always a weird and skewed measure, as it favours "easy" movies over more divisive ones.
One movie can be certified fresh 100%, and yet have only a average of 6 in rotten tomatoes itself. While maybe a few critics disliked another one, and yet it's better considered by most of them.

At the end of the day I probably disagree with both entries most of the time.
Interesting list. I agree I'm kind of surprised that Argo still beats Lincoln. I certainly agree with Good Night and Good Luck over Crash.

Lincoln was a tyrant, charlatan, and practiced cronyism.

Here is the truth about Lincoln:

But year I am still surprised that some of these chocies.

Like I expected Shawshank Redemption to replace Forrest Gump considering how annoying the fans are (that or at least Pulp Fiction)

I also expected Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Rings to take it not In the Bedroom considering they included the sequals :P

I don't know if the list is actually using the websites ratings/score points in the ranking of the Best Picture lists.

Nothing in the article indicates it.

Yeah, I've never understood why people love CT,HD so much. Maybe it's a "you had to be there" sort of thing.

Well, at least it's better than using the Metacritic rating :P

I dunno. Lincoln had some really childish moments. It's just that the acting and script were mostly utterly sublime. Argo was a fantastic thriller, but I don't really feel it had much more to offer. Hard to pick between them if you ask me.

What was everyone's choice this year, btw? I was rooting for The Revenant.
