Just noticed this:
https://borington.itch.io/rum-gun
Released EA on steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1210800/Rum__Gun/

It’s quite fun.

Wish list:

Not much else piratey out there.
Been trying this on and off since I saw this, and I have to say it's a rather nice little gem. The person who made the music must be tone-deaf and the demo is kind of odd and wonky, but the game itself seems like a fun pirate game. Hopefully the full game is better, and for only 4 Euro I'm actually thinking of buying it...
Kick a zombie in half while playing the fiddle
That sounds like something right up my alley :D

OP, have you tried playing any of the three Sid Meiers Pirates! games that GOG has for sale?
A solid bonus is that the DRM actually gives the real-time frames treasure fleets arrive/depart, so you can plan ahead and invade say Panama City in late August 1640 and come away with over a million in loot.

Gog only has 1 Sid meiers pirates game, and yes I have played it.
Gog games have no drm.

Wrong. GoG has 3 Sid Meiers Pirates! games
https://www.gog.com/game/pirates_gold_plus

Pirates! Gold 1993 is a slightly updated version of Sid Meier's Pirates! 1987. Pirates Gold Plus bundle contains both games. These older Pirates! games had old-school physical DRM involving manuals + enterings codes.

*imagines Contra or Metal Slug, but the main characters are shooting rum at people, instead of bullets.*

Not quite, but you can kick things whilst playing the fiddle, which is different.
