Wait, Galaxy is used to access the forum? Okay, I think I have completely lost any idea of what Galaxy is and does at this point. Why would you need a client to open the forum?

It’s not generally the newbies fault, it’s GOGs. Just like galaxy directing game specific posts to general forum are, which never got fixed, GOG never fixes these things. So people get annoyed with it. Just like the general forum being full of Galaxy specific posts when there is a forum area for that (and in fact a big thread for it as well). By all means keep pushing Galaxy, just point those users to the right area!

Jokes aside (although...), as far as I know there isn't a dedicated "go to the forum" function, so you have to enter a subforum on a game page or eneter a specific thread from an announcement and then go back to general. Not ideal.

No, I think it's nuts too. It's possible to browse the forums in the client but I've no idea why anyone would want to. The fact that it's difficult to get to the forums in the client might be a sign that it's not particularly intended...

Allegedly the Galaxy devs dislike the forum and avoid looking at it. I don't know whether that affected the client's design though.

You can reach the forum via the front page news posts but trying to bookmark it does nothing. [Edit: that might be the issue we're promised a fix for here.] I've always accessed the forum mainly via my browser, but now I won't even be using Galaxy for quick glances - on 1.2 I'd sometimes visit a game-specific forum via the client if I was already looking at its game pages - so the onset of 2.0 actually means I'll be using the website more and the client less.
