Since I moved last year my internet literally stinks. So have been downloading my games outside of Galaxy as offline backups. Two of them downloaded with a .sh extension and I have been at a loss as to how to extract/install them. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Those are Linux games. Download the Windows version.
On the page (in your library) where you download each games files, there will be a "System:" drop down menu option at the top left of that page/window. Yours most likely displays "Linux" next to it. Click it, and select "Windows" as your preferred system, and any games you download from here from now on should be the Windows versions. Unless something goes awry again in future. But then you should now know what to do if the case should arise...
change OS to Windows (or mac or linux depending on your OS)

That'sa real crisp JPEG.

The background color makes the JPEG artifacts less visible. What's the deal with the ludicrously bad font rendering tho?

Actually using a couple tools i can convert to Jpeg with no data loss (Turn the quality up higher), or use a lossless Jpeg format.

The font on the otherhand, i have settings set to be fast, so anti-aliasing and softer fonts may be turned off...

OK, but now the file size is bigger than a 24-bit PNG.

But whyyyyyy, it's not like font rendering takes any significant time and that hurts my eyes. Well, you're the one looking at it all the time. ;)

That's the price you pay for clarity.

Although the webp is suppose to be more efficient, i doubt i could use it here...

'wrong format'... yep... 100k less for a lossless image.

I had some scripts a while back that i capture sections of the screen for matching. Without aliasing it's a LOT more accurate on exactly what it's looking for. Plus it's easier to me to read. Yeah not as soft on the edges, but then again...
