Heard good things about another Konami-developed and -published adventure called Shadow of Memories (a.k.a. Shadow of Destiny) that's supposed to share some similarities with the first 4 Silent Hill installments, although apparently it's more of a murder mystery (involving time travel) than survival horror.

A young man named Eike Kusch strolls through the quiet patriarchal German town Lebensbaum. Suddenly, a tremendous blow darkens the sight of his eyes, and the next thing he can see is a very strange room filled with bizarre objects, and a voice talking to him from nowhere. A mysterious being known as Homunculus tells Eike that he has been stabbed to death. Homunculus gives Eike a time-travelling device and brings him back to life a short while before his murder took place. From that moment on, Eike's miraculously acquired second chance turns into a constant race against time, as he tries to escape from his destiny. In order to alter the course of events, preventing the unknown person from carrying out his murder, Eike will have to travel back in time as far as the 16th century, meeting people closely connected to his own existence and changing the fabric of reality.

The PC port from 2002 might be something GOG could look into re-releasing to shorten the wait for Classic Silent Hill 2 (+ Silent Hill 3 and maybe an officially-sanctioned emulated Silent Hill (1999)).

I totally forgot about that game, voted, thanks. Why are there twi entries instead only one? Better to acumulate all votes on one.
A very fascinating game, but it has too much endings. I don't like to play a game multiple times, just to see all the endings. I watched them all on youtube.

Interesting. You might post about this on the r/gog subreddit too. :) Hopefully GOG gets an opportunity and is willing to take a stab at it. ;)

Well, I'm sure there's plenty of people - me included - that don't mind doing multiple playthroughs at all, especially if there's a variety of different endings waiting to be had.

Anybody feel free to re-post in my stead, I don't do social media.

Maybe when you are young. But old farts like me don't have the time for this anymore.
