Was shown at the E3. And I got to say, I am even more pessimistic than after the first trailer. Seems like they dropped the ball and went straight "Let's just copy Doom Eternal". Really did not like what I saw. Also, the art style is just way too cartoonish and colorful for my taste. As hyped as I was that they are making another Shadow Warrior, that hype is quickly dropping the closer it gets to releasing sometime this year... :/

So... what did I just watch?

I think I'd rather play Necromunda Hired Gun with those same general mechanics.

Unfortunately, that does indeed look horrible and waaay closer to Doom than i initially thought, it does not just look like a Doom clone but an inferior version of Doom in terms of smoothness, animations and gunplay.

I like SW2 but still hoped they would return to the formula of the first game and showcase melee, guns as well as more interesting level design than both Doom and previous SW games but this is just grapple Doom, shame.

I like what I've seen so far in the trailers and gameplay vids. Hopefully we'll get a release date soon™.

Same. SW 1 was awesome and I had a ton of fun with SW 2 too which a lot of people seem to be bashing on just because they think loot in FPS = Borderlands clone, even though the loot in SW 2 doesn't even play that important of a role. I will see some reviews once SW 3 comes out, but I'm not keeping my hopes up anymore. It's set to release in 2021. But the date hasn't been specified yet.

Shadow warrior W was a big disappointment, randomised levels, no story, far too many special effects that you could not see what was going on. The first one was good, and had a good story too. This third one looks like the second, all glitzy special effects and no real substance.

I really don't know why everyone is bashing this so hard, but then I didn't play any of the new Doom games this is supposedly "too much like". To me it looks fun, and I like the fact that it's colorful and over the top rather than grim and dour. I had tons of fun with the previous two games, probably even more with SW2 than I did with the first one, and I expect this to be just as entertaining.

... the shooter version of Sunset Overdrive.

This looks amazing. Shadow Warrior 2 was already one of my favorite games of all time and this one looks just as good.

Shadow Warrior 2 ended up being too repetitive but it was really fun playing nonetheless. This one seems to be following the same direction, so I guess it will be ok for me... Although there's too much dual wielding and too few katana slashes for my taste.

Can't say I would like what I see.
