Ioskeha: I was just downloding a game through Galaxy just now, and I noticed that the download was maxing out at 3.3 Mb/s. So I came to the site to see if downloading the Backup Installer was any faster. Which it was. I was getting a solid 21 Mb/s.

Why is downloading through so much slower?
First, add Galaxy client to your anti-virus/firewall whitelist, as they might be interfering with the connection. Also, I'd recommend checking if Bandwidth Limit is enabled in your Galaxy settings. (Open Galaxy> GOG Icon on the top left corner> Settings> Downloads Bandwidth limit)
