I have seen complaints about bugs in many games (Cyberpunk 2077 being the most recent), to the point where reviews will criticize and even deduct points for games that have too many of them. Yet then there's Hollow Knight, a game filled with bugs (even the player character is a bug), yet everyone is basically silent about them; even with all those bugs crawling around, Hollow Knight still gets good reviews.

So, why does Hollow Knight get a pass when it comes to bugs, yet other games (like CP2077) don't?

(Note that this topic is meant as a joke)

(Also, if you're going to google search "Hollow Knight bugs", cw:spiders. Most of you can just ignore this warning, but there's a minority of people who, for whatever reason, are deathly afraid of spiders and would appreciate this warning.)

I up-voted just because you said this! (The joke also good.)

Not the first time you make this joke... :)
Bugs? Bah, humbug!

What we experience in games aren't bugs but hidden features someone just always forgets to make mention of!

I missed this quality of posts :D

It's a shame that nowdays on the internet you have to explain everything with disclaimers...
Journey of a Roach (currently on sale) is also filled with nothing but bugs and rather much a mess.

There was also the 2010ish indie tactical game Band of Bugs that was, again, almost like this too. You couldn't complete a battle without having to squash bugs. Sadly it never came to GOG, but it was, way back anyway, available DRM-free direct from the dev. EDIT: I guess it is on itch. No surprises there, 'bug' and 'itch' go together.

Well, my previous post asking for a game that is an RPG, but I want it to not have any of the characteristics of an RPG (even by looser RPG definitions that include games like Ys), got "low rated", so I figured I had to put that disclaimer in here.
The more your game is anticipated, the more gamers are demanding. In the case of Cyberpunk, the advertisement campaign has lasted way too long, people expected a near perfect product.

You've obviously never played this game... it can't get any buggier than this.
