I just heard of this game and thought I'd share with the community. Apparently it's a spiritual successor to the Heroes of Might and Magic games, made by a Swedish indie team.

A gaming article says they're opening slots for some alpha testers this month. It also says they've received over 20K applications, so it's not likely anyone applying now will be accepted, but who knows. I also see someone already started a wishlist for the game.

Not entirely sure since the forum's search function is and always has been everything but functional for anything with more than one search term but I think there have been several threads or at least posts about it since its announcement back in 2019?

There's also a wishlist entry and, iirc, the dev wasn't averse towards a future DRM-free release on GoG either.

Should be a no-brainer really, with HoMM III still coming in second on the all-time bestsellers list.

Didn't even bother using gog's search, did a google search of the forum and found nothing, which is why I posted. Also, as I said, they seem to be accepting their alpha testers this month.
