If you love dynamic sci-fi games set in the unforgiving world of the future, then we have a special offer you should look into! When you buy MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries in our store, GOG will gift you a complimentary copy of The Surge!

The serial key to redeem this game will be added to your GOG library automatically after purchasing MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries (please access the “serial numbers” section of the library through your browser).
This offer is available until the 2nd of June, 2021, 12 PM UTC, yet the serial key you acquire thanks to it stays active until you redeem the game at any time in the future.

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is a dynamic action-simulation game that takes you to the year 3015 when humanity has colonized thousands of space systems. A vast region of space is splintered by centuries of conflict with the battlefields of the future dominated by MechWarriors, elite pilots of hulking machines of war known as BattleMechs. Now it’s your turn to become one of those elite warriors!
Do they plan on releasing any of the old MW games?

Oh yes please. I really hope so.

chandra: Sorry for the late update on this! Our QA is checking a new build for the game, as the previous one was causing some desync problems, and the offline installers will follow later today. Offline installers, especially for bigger games such as this one, can take up to a couple of hours to build and upload. We want to share with you the latest version of the game with all fixes, and it will take us some additional time to make it available but rest assured we are working hard to make this happen.
Ok ok I bought it (the Dropship collection).

And the offline installers are already there, sweet.

I should actually play and finish MW3 and MW4 first.

MW3 is already installed on one of my (Windows XP) PCs, where it seems to run ok without physics problems.

The Offline Installers are available now! Once again sorry for the delay.
Awaiting word that the offline installers are feature complete and there's no "registration bonus" shenanigans, and that the "Inner Sphere" bits are also included in the offline installers. (See, GOG, what happens when you start allowing games with DRM in? We have to question every darned release, and I hate that you've done that to us.)

Was wondering the same and not only MW, but Microsoft games in general. Especially once I noticed this at the bottom of the description:

MechWarrior® is a trade-mark of Microsoft Corporation In the United States and other jurisdictions and is used under license.

Isn't MW actually a spinoff of BattleTech, or am I thinking of something else?
I am on the fence with this one probably will pick this up but heard the base game had issues the combat was meant to be fun but other parts of the game where lacking.

You are correct, the Mechwarrior games take place in the Battletech universe. By the looks of it Microsoft has the video game rights to both properties, Topps owns the Battletech IP.

MEchwarrior is part of Battletech, but the IP rights to the various aspects of Battletech are an unholy mess. Microsoft owns the rights to computer/console games for Battletech.
If GOG can swing it, I'd buy the old Battletech and Mechwarrior games, too.

me too.

Gylfe: You have to go into your games and find MW5, click the tab like you are going to download it and click on "more", then go down to "serial keys" and click that. You'll see the key for the surge there, then copy taht and paste it on the redeem page.
This is eventually what I had to do. This is very convoluted method. Thank you for posting the instructions here for others !

Dude, how does the automation keep breaking? Didn't someone tell that guy to not fix what isn't broken and just leave the offline system alone once it's fixed?
