renegade042: Remind me again what happens if there is huge controversy about a game?
(see: Hogwarts Legacy)

Breja: Drastically different things, apparently. Hogwarts Legacy sold 12 million units in its first two weeks of release, Outlaws sold 1 million in a month. Then again I don't think there's any "huge controversy" about Outlaws, it just seems to be almost universaly considered kind of "meh", so I'm not sure what you're getting at.
Actually this thread took a turn towards AC Shadows, which is the controversy I was referring to (game will sell great).
I had actually forgotten Outlaws even existed...
In concept Outlaws should be a great game. The product that released was, at best, mid A.F. trending towards just bad.

At the end of the day though Ubisoft is a toxic company with some of the worse DRM and consumer rights stand-points in the industry. So even if the game was actually good no one should support such a terrible company.
