Frankly, in my opinion, it's heavily influenced by our group rules, besides small group size. No one wants to make GA's because not enough people enter them to get CV. No one wants to enter them because they don't want to lower their group ratio.

You misunderstand. Nobody wants to enter for a game they just kinda would like, because if they win it, it affects their group ratio. Less people entering leads to...

Basically, this group is full of cheap bastards, but we have group rules about ratios that mean cheap games don't get any entries. Catch 22.

on the other hand, I don't think it's our cheap bastardery that lead to the groups decline in GAs so much as that there's just no decent bundles to be had anymore. anywhere. it's done. :/
and with it, the popularity of steamgifts. been half a year that I won anything there (and then only in this group :D gog gift club ftw)
so in my humble opinion, changing the rules won't make this group more popular, since there's no content to be added when the only decent bundle is once a month ( and everyone has it anyway.) the times they are a-changing....

It should answer your question. Why do think a bunch of GoGgers would start a group and keep it going for four years at a site that wasn't legit?

And don't you have better ways of checking the legitamacy of a site.

Someone wants to give a game away so through the site they create a giveaway for that game. People that are wanting to win the game that do no already have it in their Steam Library can enter the giveaway. You have to link your SteamGifts account to your Steam account or you will not be able to enter any giveaways. The winner is randomly chosen and the person who created the giveaway has to send the winner a Key for the game or a direct gift on Steam itself.

This is a basic rundown of how the site works, it is move involved than that. But, it is very easy to give away games, and you can win some games as well.
