For me, when it comes to books, price / quality is more important than price / quantity. Because when you pay for 5 meh indie games, you can play them all for 1 hour and it's still no biggie.

When you buy 13 meh books, it would feel like a waste of money regardless of price/quantity ratio.

For example, I bought Metro 2034 lately, and it's so fucking horrible, I feel like every single penny I spent on it could've been spent better (e.g. thrown out the window) :P

goglier: "Ogmios - Omnibus Edition" contains three novels - you could count those as three books, so that would be 10/13, which is slightly below 0,77.
Ah,...ok,...that makes sense. ;)

While I agree, that quality is always more important than quantity, I have to ask:
How do you know, that they are "meh"? ;)

I see it this way:

I paid $11.
I don't know, if any of those books will be "me gusto"...I have to read them first, to find out.

Exactly like I have to do with every book, that I didn't read before.

Be it the top selling new novel of a favorite author of mine, or some book in a bundle, where I haven't read any of the authors so far - I always have to make the plunge into the deep end.

If I end up with only one good read among those 13 novels, I will have my money's worth back.

And, if - most unlikely - none of the novels hits my taste...well, the $11 loss won't kill me.

Regarding the novels offered through Story Bundle - there's a preview/ excerpt you can read for each book; makes it easier to decide if you should take the plunch or not and what to expect if you take it.

I didn't know that. This at least gives you some view on how the book may be like.

I mean, I really don't get too much time invested in games I don't like and I don't feel betrayed after some time. But when I read a book, I get to know the characters, setting, etc and then it goes into shit, I feel like I wasted a lot, like part of my soul just died ;P
What do you guys think of these?

there are few more packages for .99
I'd say, for that price - you can't do much wrong.
Though I also have to say, the "romance" part in almost every (7out of 10) novel's description will keep me from buying.
I'm in for the horror, or the thrill or whatever the main feature of an bundle is...but romance usually puts me off.

That''s what I thought as well. The other bundles seem to be all romance too, but in different settings.

So if they all are supernatural Harlequins....
Bump - 8 hours left.
So there is another bundle with much interest for gamers, I suppose.
The Video Game Bundle 2.0.
OP updated. This bundle seems extremely relevant to our community, since it's not only gaming- but also gaming history-oriented :3.
Go on, people - read a book... or a magazine.

Last chance to get this one...
The only think attracting me to this bundle would be the cover for the "Vaporware" book, and that's just wrong :P
So no, this bundle isn't for me!
