I really want to buy a game, but I can't because gog is based in Europe. And my prepaid visa will not go through because it's not international. So, gog if you could maybe make it possible for us in the U.S to pay with non-international debit cards !

You're asking the wrong people. It's not GOG refusing your card, it's your card refusing international transactions. You need to talk to the card issuer.

Haven't you tried using paypal as an intermediary? The card should theoretically work with Paypal since they're in the US and since Paypal works happily with GOG everything should be fine. You might not even need to make an account, since in some cases Paypal just works as a payment processor.

A debit card that does not allow international transactions (!?), sounds completely useless.
Not completely useless, nothing like it.

It all depends on where you buy online from.

Most of my transactions are in AUS, with only a few like GOG and Amazon US being international transactions. I could even use Amazon AUS instead if I wanted to, but I prefer the original US store. I also buy ebooks from Kobo, via their AUS address, even though they are based in Ireland. Many stores have an AUS website address.

Lots of people don't buy anything or much from international stores directly.

And of course a debit card can also be used locally without an online requirement.

Hardly; I have no idea if mine does international transactions because there's no reason to buy anything internationally with it. Anyway I just use Paypal with GOG, works fine.
