Howdy, fellow GOGers!

804 days ago I attended a Game Dev Gathering in Belgrade. Met a lot of nice people who were interested in games, particularly in making ones by themselves. One event was the star of that day. One dude brought a demo of a game he was working on for some time. The game was called Switchcars. That game was released on Steam (Early Access) today and I feel it deserves to be pointed out and recommended.

It's a unique game with very addictive gameplay. One of those titles that you can play in small sessions but also lose yourself in for hours. Lots of "small touches of love" that just warm up your gaming heart while you play.
Check out the links I left below for more details what it's about and how it looks like.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words so I've attached to this post a picture from the event I mentioned at the beginning. You can clearly see from my face how the game "bewitched" me immediately and the guy behind me got excited just by watching (the dude in red sweatshirt is the developer ;)). I was actually the first one there to give the game a go, later there were bunch of people around that laptop constantly exchanging places around controls and cheering how the game is awesome. Real inspirational stuff. :)

Just had a very interesting 2 hour session with the game and I can say that it hasn't lost any of it's charm but that it is even enhanced in that department. And since it's still in development we can only expect that this game will just get better and better.
Let's hope that we will see it available here on GOG also, if not now at least once it reaches v1.0 eventually.

Again, my wholeheartedly recommendations for this game, and I wish great sales numbers to the developer, he surely earned it with his hard work and unswayed commitment to this wonderful project!

I was just looking at this on S****. The game looks really appealing to me, and I wishlisted it (due to backlog)
Not sure I fully get how the game works, but it does look pretty cool. Gave it a vote on the wishlist.
Interesting idea. Linux is supported. Voted. But I'd be fine with an eventual DRM-free release on Humble or itch.io if it doesn't gather enough hype / awards / pylons / unobtainium for GOG to be interested.

You have three slots. You put vehicles in this slots (can put new vehicles you encounter into them at any time). You drive these vehicles from left to right through stages, it gets tougher and tougher. Lanes and environments change and you adjust your vehicles to it. There are a lot factors to aid you like powerups, repair/refuel stations but there are also a lot things in the way. The timer indicates when will the big aliens arrive and if you haven't reached a safe zone (between stages) before they do it gets even tougher.
Each run is unique and very fun(ny) combinations can be experienced. I've managed to reach stage 6/10 so far and the furthest year was 2019 (the goal is to reach 2055).
I'm not sure why, but you remind me of Billy from the Power Rangers.
Looks interesting! 'Voted!
Looks like a fun and original arcade game. I'll give a shot (eventually). +1
Here's a video of some crazy guys playing it, I mean the game can be crazy on itself but with this dudes it (sounds) even crazier. xD

WORD OF WARNING:
They swear a lot! xD

Three months later, the game had 9 updates which made it even more fun with some tweaks and new content and it also runs smoother now.
Check it out if you haven't done so by now. :)
My cousin battled switchcars for 3 and a half years before losing his battle last year. I wholeheartedly support raising awareness of this horrible disease. Let's hope they find a cure for switchcars so that no one else will ever have to go through this ever again!
