Taking notes how to defeat these fighters :P

Ok, this is funnier than I expected.

Great start with the first fights, can't wait for more! Some of the fights were hilarious, but I read the whole thing with a big smile. :D

The Blue Lightening character made for quite an unusual and fun fight, now I wonder how the Petaminx one will be. :)

Funny first matches! All made me smile, but the DICKENS FATALITY was totally worth a LOL. XD

What an awesome start and a cliffhanger. lol. Cannot wait for the rest of the fights. I'm expecting things to escalate to ridiculous levels.

Fight 6

(68) Koreskrocton enters the arena to gasps from the crowd. She notices a green humanoid dangling an arm over the side with what appears to be a cut on a finger and a little bit of BLOOD! Koreskrocton races across to the side of the arena and before anyone can react, she rips the green arm off, clean at the elbow.
The crowd goes wild calling for more.
Across the way a boxing kangaroo called (95) Jack the Knack watches with interest.

Koreskrocton fixes her attention on the tasty looking Aussie opposite her. To her opponents surprise, rather than charging in she launches a fireball that badly scorches old Skippy. Jack the Knack jumps up and down while trying to pat out the flames.

Koreskrocton charges at the smell of cooking meat but Jack the Knack leaps over the shark, landing a powerful kick as he does.

Seeing the bloodlust building in Koreskrocton and the crowd cheering her on, Jack the Knack uses his head. He leaps over the onrushing shark and up into the crowd before lashing out, boxing spectators left right and centre, leaving many with bloody noses and cuts.
Koreskrocton is overcome with bloodlust and launches herself into the crowd, tearing anyone in her path to shreds while the crowd half cheers and half screams in response.

The shadowy overseer decides to intervene while he still has a crowd left and smites Koreskrocton with a lightening bolt.

Jack the Knack pats himself on the back for his quick thinking and leaves the arena.
Koreskrocton finds herself in the tavern and promptly orders a Bloody Mary.

Fight 7

A robed wizard named (2) Tim enters from the left.
From the right comes (79) Kirthal an imposing Fire Drake.
Tim looks up at the Drake with smoke coming out of its nostrils and says "Oh bugger!"

Tim unleashes hell on the Drake with Fire Strikes and Fire Balls raining down on it.
Kirtha smiles a big toothy grin "silly wizard, I am a Fire Drake after all!".
Kirtha lunges forward and in one fell swoop swallows Tim whole. A muted "Oh bugger" is heard as the wizard slides down into the Drakes gullet.

Kirtha exits the arena to cheers from the crowd, looking quite contented.
Tim appears in the tavern and promptly puts his elbow in an ale puddle. "Bugger".

Fight 8

The ground shakes causing the crowd to hush in anticipation as (46) Lily, the three-headed cerberus demon dog enters through the right gate. She is greeted by rapturous applause and cheering from the crowd and wags her tail with joy.
A scruffy, middle aged man (8) Mr. Fiddlesticks enters from the left to snickers from the crowd, who see this as a complete mismatch. He gives all around and heart-breaking sad look.

Lily simultaneously bares her teeth while barking loudly as Mr. Fiddlesticks turns his sad face on her, both canceling each other out.

Lily lets out three momentous barks and it is more than Mr. Fiddlesticks can handle who curls up into a bedraggled ball, rocking back and forth in fear.

Lily leaves the arena tail wagging furiously.
Mr. Fiddlesticks is transported to the tavern and promptly starts annoying the other patrons by asking them for any spare change.

Fight 9

The crowd goes quiet in anticipation as the left gate opens. They look around in puzzlement as the gate closes again wondering where the combatant is not having seen (10) Bug enter.
The right gate opens and the crowds mood picks up as an impressive human/alien hybrid (97) Natali enters the Arena, scanning trying to find her opponent.

Natali stomps forward thinking her enemy to have some sort of cloaking device and doesn't hear the little voice in front of her "Hey, I'm over here!"
SQUISH
Natali looks at the sole of her boot "Oh dear" and promptly stomps back out of the arena.
Bug reappears in the tavern and goes about his business of landing on the rims of peoples drinking glasses as they try to shoo him away.

Fight 10

(102) Petaminx (the puzzle) rolls into the arena and promptly lays flat in the middle waiting. (42) Pat Ronizing enters eyeing her surroundings, looking for any exquisite art to add to her collection.

Pat Ronizing picks up Petaminx and solves his puzzle in 5 seconds flat. She snickers at how easy that was as she exits the arena with Petaminx voice in her head "Nooo, why couldn't I have faced one of the dumb-arse barbarians instead?"
Petaminx appears on a table in the tavern where Lifthrasil scratches his head as tries to work out where to even start solving the puzzle.

I laughed until I stopped!!

Calad cocks his head and gives a thoughtful half-nod, but points out that it does seem that defeats need not require death, and in the cases where one of the combatants does appear to die, the overseer seems to either resurrect them or perhaps teleport them away at the last moment, only leaving the illusion of death for the delight of the crowd, those appearing in the tavern so far seeming no worse for wear. That said, an investigation is of course much desirable, but if it does reveal a need for further action, being only two against a powerful foe who'll also likely have the support of the bloodthirsty crowds and at least some of the other competitors will be a recipe for disaster, so he suggests taking the battle as practice, giving the audience a show but trying to stick to methods that won't be particularly painful, and revisit the topic when he and Og'rialt will inevitably meet again in the tavern, sooner or later, where it might be discussed with others of like mind.

EWWWWWW! A BLOB! GROSS! GET THAT THING OUT OF MY KITCHEN! WHERE IS A MAN WHEN YOU NEED HIM? First things first. My faithful tablecloth familiar, I summon thee. Protect me and my new red Valentino dress, if that filthy blob leaves grime on it, how will I go to the dance? I don't know if I am ready for battle, how does my hair look? I heard blobs don't like fire. HAHA! Time for Flambé! Let's get this pan on fire:)

A tavern...Mr. Fiddlesticks truly went to a better place. :)

The second batch of fights were awesome too! Loved the fight 6 with Jack the Knack. :) Mr. Fiddlesticks and Bug annoying others at the tavern after losing their fights was hilarious. xD

Too bad the Petaminx battle was so short as I was looking forward to see what it could do attacking, but it was still fun in the end. :)

Ok, Osen's defeat was so interestingly matched and so creatively written that there's absolutely no shame to be found on its debacle, only on not having lasted long enough to provide us with more creative stimulation. Well, I guess that on that front Osen didn't lose. Even as the tale of its demise was cut short, Osen was exhilarated by it and felt a profound sense of vindication by seeing how its downfall birthed another worthy art expression.

I hope you get to tell me some day were do this crazy narrative exercises come from Doc.
