IAmSinistar: For the same reason I am also attracted to chaos mathematics, which have great tools for rendering numerical sets and formulae into apprehendable forms.
ah yes i've done a course about chaotical dynamic, shadowing and ergodic theory. so you know the number of chaos??

IAmSinistar: I know smatterings of Differential Topology, such as Riemann manifolds
i think this belongs to differential geometry

nice to have someone with knowledge about such topics on this forum :)

Shadowstalker16: Why doesn't Ubisoft die and give Splinter Cell to a Square Enix?
No offense intended, but that sentence sounds to me like: "Why doesn't the Ogre die and give the kidnapped children to Herod"? :)

Not sure what you mean by "the number of chaos", but there are certainly some "magic" numbers when it comes to expressing Julia Sets and strange attractors. :)

Correct, the geometry side is when dealing with quantitative sides of manifolds, whereas the topological side is attributive. As you can see, I'm not as precise with my language when discussing these things as a trained mathematician would be. But I do have interest in both, though I am much better with the attributive side.

Agreed, even if my side of the conversation is more roughshod. :D

+1 to that, thanks for the chuckle! :D

its this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharkovsky%27s_theorem

the number of chaos is 3, in the sharkovsky ordering for numbers. thats some basics for chaos theory with discrete iteration of real maps.

How cool! 3 has always been "my" number. It recurs in my life in many ways, and underpins my personal philosophy as well. (Looooong story...)

Thanks for the data!

Similar thoughts crossed my mind when I read their post, cheers! :-)

Come on, at least SE ports better. One button for interaction and CQC? Close a door in the enemy's face FTW.
I got a random set of questions that happens to be related to games.

One- I read about a game on here called Rune Classic. It is a viking action game. I want to know if the sequel Rune Viking Warlord (for ps2) is 2 player and if there is loot and some stat/roleplaying elements.

Two-Do any of the hunter reckoning games have a loot part/aspect of it? I like the setting but if there are no stats then there should definitely be loot ya know?

viking warlord is not a sequel, its just a port of the original pc game rune to ps2, no loot, very less rpg elements.
its a great third perspective action adventure, the gameplay feels like the classic tomb raider games without climbing and difficult puzzles, just the setting is different. dont know about multiplayer.
When you say GOG, how do you say it. I know, that sounds weird but do you say G -O -G or do you say GOG. (as like grog minus the r) ?

I do too but I was watching a vid posted about Esports and they said it as G -O -G. I started to think I might be saying it wrong. lol.
I am going to possibly buy an ipad. I am looking for something that is almost exactly like my psp, gbadvanced. Is there a chance I can find an ipad that can play oldschool rpgs out there? I dont mind if the system has a few flaws but it mostlikely will need to somewhat resemble portable controls.

Are there ipads out there like that?

Yes. They're called Android tablets.
Turn down for what?
