It seems Spear was one of the greatest weapons, if not the greatest, during the medieval times and in HEMA it seems grabbing the shaft is one of the few ways to counter it, if you are skilled enough.
But i haven't read anywhere that people used to oil their shafts and it confused me, did they oil their shafts but i couldn't find it or was it never done for some reason?
This has been bothering me for a while now.

At what point in the history of human evolution, or the evolution of society/civilization did North become associated with Top/Up and South become associated with Bottom/Down? It's not like when you are facing South you are being pushed towards it or when you are facing North you are falling from it. So who decided maps would be drawn that way?

People in the Southern Hemisphere don't have to look up to see people in the Northern Hemisphere and vice versa

Why do we see the globe like THIS
Rather than THIS?

Why do maps always show the north as up? For those who don’t just take it for granted, the common answer is that Europeans made the maps and they wanted to be on top. But there’s really no good reason for the north to claim top-notch cartographic real estate over any other bearing, as an examination of old maps from different places and periods can confirm.
in movies such as friday the 13th, why do the victums always do really stupid things like enter the cabin, or not make sure he's dead? nooooo, they go make out and get suprised when the axe cuts one in half.
Why is so that any crossover film I came by mostly ends up sucking? Aliens vs Predator
Why is so that any crossover film I came by mostly ends up sucking? Aliens vs Predator, Batman vs Superman (Live-Action), DBZ x ONE PIECE x TORIKO...

Any decent one you could share?

Nope.

There's a surprisingly cool crossover comic book named "the league of extraordinary gentlemen" (vol.1 and vol.2), but as a movie it's godawful. Still, I'm not sure there is any other exemple of decent crossover in any media whatsoever.

No wait, there might be a couple of rare other successes in the comics realm (hellboy and the goon, dr mcninja and axe cop). Still, no movies.

Which by the way raises the fucking random question : WHY did Mignola cease to draw Hellboy ?

I have read in the past that 67.3% of Earth's land mass is, and 90% of human inhabitants are north of the equator. Majority rules?
Who the fuck forgets a girl's face, still fantasizes obsessively about her, yet is only able to recognize her through her shoe size ?

No, nothing to do with gaming. I figured out how to play"The Star Spangled Banner" on my guitar only the "Star Spangled Banner" really isn't "The Star Spangled Banner". :P It's an old English pub song called "The Anacreon in Heaven". F.S. Key just changed the words. :P I would rather call it by it's proper name when I announce it.
Will there ever be an OFFICIAL SPANISH GOG FORUM? :D
