Trooper1270: Why is it that more and more people in recent times begin a sentence with the word 'So' and what purpose does it actually serve ?, other than to irritate.

TwoHandedSword: It sounds more professional than starting with "Er" or "Um". Or even worse, "Like well, y'know, anyways".

So, mustard on Oreos: would you be willing to give it a try, or do it on a dare, or run screaming from the room?
This (the use of the word 'so') looks to be a modern take (or use) of the word/s 'well' or 'well then', because (from what I can see) they can be swapped between each other (for every instance of their usage), and still provide the same meaning, in the same context.

Right!, that clears that up. :)

Hawkbit12: Batman?
Why are you looking for him? Are you the first Robin of the spring?

I asked my Magic 8-Ball, and it came up "Signs Point To Yes".

Did you know that the heart of the Magic 8-Ball is a d20, and that someone has made a chart allowing you to convert everything it says into a die roll?

Noted. The dye and bleach has been bought, but I will wait until vacation then.
Do GWENT and Hearthstone have any cards that fill a role similar to that of basic lands in Magic: The Gathering?

For those unfamiliar with Magic, here are some facts about basic lands in that game:
* There are only 5 of them, one for each color of mana. These have persisted through every edition of the game.
* Basic lands are the primary means of generating mana; you need mana to play most cards, but lands don't have such a restriction, instead having a rule that you can only play one per turn.
* Since most cards require mana to play, the first move a player makes will always be to place a basic land, as one can't do anything useful without doing so.
* Because said basic lands are so fundamentally important, *every* starter deck has a bunch. Basic lands are the most common type of card in the game, being even more common than commons. In fact, there are also "land stations" that are sometimes found at tournaments for players to add extra lands to formats that don't use pre-constructed decks.
* In tournament play, you are limited to 4 of any given card; basic lands, given their fundamental importance, don't have that restriction.
* A traditional house rule is that, if your initial hand contains no basic lands, you are allowed to draw a new hand; this rule is there because you can't do much without them.

Do GWENT and Hearthstone have cards that play a similar role? How about other similar games?
Is it illegal to use wheels of different dimensions on the front and rear axle? One of my tires went flat, and I can't get it fixed until Tuesday. I was thinking of just putting the spare 16" wheels on the front axle while keeping the 18" on at the back.

One pair of wheels is smaller rim, more tire and the other is vice versa, so it's kinda the same size.. I guess.
I have a question. GOG Galaxy 2.0 related.

Is it possible for GOG users to access the GOG Forum using GOG Galaxy 2.0? As I haven't found a way that would allow me to access the forum directly through GOG Galaxy 2.0, I'm consequently left with no other choice but to do it through the web browser I use.

Thanks.
Has anyone else ever noticed that the expression "The odds are even" is an oxymoron?
I don't know whether I've asked this question here in this thread before, but I'm going for it anyway.

When a person is asked to improve on his/her bad jokes, will his/her jokes become better or worse after the said improvements?

I know this question is meant as a joke, but here are my serious thoughts:

If the jokes were bad due to being offensive or inappropriate, the jokes would no longer be bad in that sense.

On the other hand, if "bad" is referring to a different aspect of the joke, like in phrases like "awful pun", the joke would still be just as bad. Don't worry, you'll still get the "pun"-ishment you deserve.

That's it! Thank you so much!

Honestly, I'm glad that your second answer was that the jokes would remain just as bad, simply because in my mind, that has always been my answer to this question. I'm just glad someone came to the same answer as I did. Although if I had phrased my question better such as elaborating further as to what I was referring to as "bad jokes", then maybe many more people would've arrived at the same answer as you did.

I asked my friend if she could shave the Subaru stars into the back of my head, and she agreed to do it tomorrow. Will it actually look good if done right, or will it look like I just had cranial surgery?
