Oh please, don't get me started with the notifications - they're hit and miss, at best (might or might not get them for forum replies or chat messages), they don't refresh properly (they still appear even after checking forum threads and messages, no matter how many times I refresh the pages), the total count has a mind of its own - it never counts friends invites and chat notifications after the first login of the day, and has a delay in reflecting changes for update of forum replies.

Finding out what's going on feels like playing a frustrating mini-game.

Yup, notifications are totally borked at the moment. I get no updates for forum replies, but on the other hand, I have two library update notifications that won't go away, despite the fact that there are no actual updates. Observe...

It would seem that the notifications system is not part of the new account one, or if it is, they're working terribly together.


Also, is it my impression or did the number of threads in General Discussion go down again today? I'm pretty sure the number of pages was around 300 around noon, and now it's slightly over 100.

At his rate, the only threads in General Discussion will be about TW3, Galaxy and Friends. Perhaps Tarnicus is on to something, after all...

It shows 171 pages for me now and i'm stuck with a notification that refuses to vanish...

and add the fact to not have added a subsection only for Galaxy is pretty ridiculous ...

What's your topics/page setting? I'm on 50topics/page, and get 103 pages.

I got the little gear next to the title of this thread for your reply, but no notification. Pretty sure it'll show up at a random point later, so that when I check the "My posts" page I'll see exactly zero gears.

I use 50 threads per page. When they did the archiving I had 96 pages, now 103. Looks OK.

Wow that link actually linked to the right post, did they fix that? It wasn't working properly for most threads when I last tried.

I honestly don't know anymore where I got that number from, possibly mixed it up with something completely unrelated.

At least we all get the same number of total pages now.


I had a similar experience earlier today with links from old PMs, and was wondering if that was the reason.
