Binders full of fixes.

Gearing up for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Hearts of Stone, the biggest game update yet is now available for download.

Altogether, it includes over six hundred in-game changes including quest fixes, performance optimisations, stability fixes and even new conversation options with key game characters. There are quality of life improvements as well, including anticipated new inventory management options.

You can see exactly what's new in the massive, thirteen-page-long changelog.

If you're getting ready to jump into the upcoming Hearts of Stone expansion, make sure to grab Patch 1.10 in the meantime - it's a hefty bunch of fixes, and required to play the expansion.

Doomigator: Game will not start at all for me after the patch. Click on play button just flashes and nothing happens. Game worked fine for me before patch. Tried verify and repair and also unchecking DLC and rechecking to get fresh download on that with no change. Updated video drivers did not help either. Very frustrated that a patch this size messed up so much. From all the posts I have read, when I can get the game to start, it does not sound like the game will be playable anyway!

UPDATE: Game will start now! I downloaded and reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Hope this helps others with starting issues.
I have tried it, but no go, still nothing happens, disappointed...
Every DLC can be easily turned off in user.settings, usually Documents/The Witcher 3 folder, [DLC] section. (1 - enabled, 0 - disabled)

Did the patch completely break the enemy AI for you guys, too?

Usually when you keep attacking an enemy, it will do a counter-attack after some hits, so that you can't just spam the attack button. Enemies don't perform counter-attacks against me anymore. I can just walk up to any enemy and keep spamming left-click. Sometimes they will try to attack, but most of the time they are completely helpless.

Does this have anything to do with the ability "Frenzy" in the alchemy tree, maybe? This ability is supposed to slow down time whenever an enemy performs a counter-attack. Either this ability is breaking the AI or the AI is broken anyway. Gonna test this as soon as I have the time.

Also, the sounds when hitting an enemy often don't play. Anyone else got these problems? I made a video of it so you can see exactly what I'm talking about.

I assume this isn't a known bug, because something as severe as this would surely have been fixed long ago, right? Right now I don't really see a point in playing on with every enemy being mostly defenseless and broken.
Maybe I should not download this patch
How on earth is this update 17GB, I can't use that amount of bandwidth, rip.
With how big the patch is and how much it changes... one has to wonder if anyone from CDPR or GOG stopped for a min and said maybe we should use that new Galaxy feature were using on the overlay and make this available as a beta so it can be tested first... nope. Would have been a much better idea I think.

Also nobody thought about the overlay update? So now we have to make a choice no overlay or no patch as it seems you can't have both. Should have maybe thought this through a little more...

Because Galaxy currently lacks delta patching and compression...

Gwent seems a bit broken now.

I see the difficulty slider, but despite the indication in the changelog, there is no indicator of missing cards, and the last 4 innkeeps whom I never played Gwent against AND just now beat since 1.10, none of which are awarding me any Gwent cards anymore.
I have just downloaded an update (only 1MB?) the game is working alright, it looks like I have all my items and performance seems to be alright, about time, can't wait to get my hands on Collectors Edition of Hearts of Stone tomorrow...
Keep up the good work CDPR!
Downloaded the 1.10 (10-12-2015) fast patch, someone said it was like 1mb. Now it does not crash it freezes, best patch ever. The high five is dead, long live the face palm.
So I'm in the beta overlay channel, didn't update the game to 1.10 but now the Hearts of Stone update is being downloaded automatically. Now I wonder if I will be able to play at all since they said that we should "make sure to grab Patch 1.10".

This is going to be interesting...
If the game fails to start after patching, uninstall the whole game (keep your saves) and reinstall. This fixed the black screen crash at startup for me. I hope it works for you too.
Actually, it works like a charm. Downloaded, installed, worked as it should. Saves work, not a single CtD yet.

Sometimes it pays off, not to be the first to test out things^^ (I simply waited for CDPR to patch the beta overlay channel as well. Installing Hearts of Stone patchedthe base game to 1.10 too.)
Downloaded the patch logged in (in a cave with Kiara Metz atm) and all the monster's i defeated previously in the cave have respawned, standing in idle animation, aren't attackable.
Though bomb seem to affect them, dismembering them but still they continue to stand in idle animation lol.
Anyone else have this??
Boys and girls, have the hotfixes brought any significant change to the 1.10 update?

GOG.com: Binders full of fixes.
I tried going through all the pages, and I can't believe no one else got this reference, excellent use of a mitt romney quote.

Chuckled hard, would chuckle again.

OT: Downloaded the update and expansion just fine, albeit days later than most of you, can't wait to see all the changes in a new game+
