TIMESPLITTERS 4 IS BEING MADE!!! sqeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

https://www.polygon.com/22445448/new-timesplitters-sequel-announced-deep-silver-free-radical-design

And it is being made by a reformed Free Radical Design. Both Ellis and Doak is back heading the development. objectively, Timesplitters 2 was the worlds best FPS, until Timesplitters: Future Perfect was released. I suddenly have a game to look forward to.

Oh, and Psychonauts 2, off course.
Fuck yeah!

It could still be bad, but at least I can be cautiously optimistic till then.

THQ Nordic, Future Perfect and 2 on PC-s and current console generation, please.
While I liked Timesplitters: Future Perfect, I'm not sure if the original developers still have the chops 16 years later. Especially since the games they were involved in ever since then, weren't anything notable. I'd be more excited for ports/remasters of the original trilogy, but I'll be cautiously optimistic for the sequel.

I am with you, but George Miller did make best Mad Max film 20 years after the last one, so you never know.
That sounds like great news. Let's hope it turns out to be a good game in the end but for now it's definitely promising
So for someone who missed out on the entire Timsplitter's Franchise, what was the major appeal of it?

Outstanding music, art-style, level design, and especially variety of locations. Every level in every game is a different time and place, and they each had unique guns to fit the setting. Future Perfect also had a gangbusters comedy story featuring a comic-relief version of Vin Diesel's Riddick teaming up with a different partner in every level. (in TS2, he possessed them instead and all so he could collect crystals for a more powerful time-travel machine for part 3.)

You forgot to add that every game had whacky comedy and outlandish characters (Duckman Drake anyone?), as well as outstandingly customizable arcade mode/multiplayer.
