Probably because Play On Linux is awful and often pulls hideously outdated versions of Wine. As in so old that even Linux Mint would have delisted them.

No idea about the PlayOnLinux issue, but for TLJ there is support in ResidualVM, which is kind of similar to what SCUMMVM does for a lot of adventure games. So you should be able to play TLJ without any Windows emulation that way.
