EU is funding Trine 4. It's been long time ago since Frozenbyte said goodbye with Trine 2 and positive feedback from their game. I'm just playing Trine 2 Steam copy, and I'm glad I have all Frozenbyte fantasy games on both steam and gog. I loved Nine Parchments, so I hope for 9P 2 in near future. What a shame magic mayheam game sinked.

I know some of Trines great fans don't go to the forums anymore, especially since this is old title.

I liked Trine 1 and 2 and i hated all Frozenbyte games after such as Shadwen, Trine 3 and Nine Parchments.

I won't hold my breath but if Trine 4 is anything like 1 and 2 then i'm looking forward to play it.

Elex 2 is in the program as well.
Piranha Bytes stated that EU usually offers around 150k Euros, which is the monthly cost of said studio! :P

So, it really does not mean much. It's definitely *something*, but it's up to the devs finding the real budget. I hope for the best, after the disappointment of Trine 3.

Ummmm, don't they need to finish Trine 3 first?

I like Trine 3, love Nine Parchments and I'm lukewarm on Shadwen. I also like Trine 1, but love Trine 2.

OP updated!
Agree with ChrisGamer300, if it was like Trine 1 & 2, it would be fantastic and an instant purchase. Soul destroying to see what happened with Trine 3. Trine 1&2 are probably one of the best local co-op games ever.

Hell, Mario (platform games) are the same successive formula - if it ain't broke!? I hope they return to their routes and not mess about with the formula. It does not need it!!!
a bit old news, but intriguingly - Realmforge Studios "Spacebase Startopia"... hmmmmm......

I loved trine 1. 2 was better, but I never finished it because I lost interest. I think I picked up 3 at some point, but I lost interest.

Perhaps a replay will improvement my perception.

I love frozen synapse.

Elex - I thought people didn't like that game. I haven't tried it. But everyone hates risen games and I like those (but again, haven't finished. They get repetitive. But still enjoyable while I play. Maybe a shorter risen would do me better)

I think it's weird that governmental agencies fund videogames. Maybe I can get them to put in some games for the treasure hunt.

Well most people who enjoy Piranha Bytes games likes Elex from what i have seen and a lot more then Risen series and i personally feel the same, i loved Gothic series, disliked Risen and like Elex a lot because apart from a little jank like pIranha is known for the game is really fun and the world is well designed as usual and i also liked a lot of the quests.
I think you would like the game if you liked their previous titles, can't guarantee though because you got to have a bit of patience since the progression is slow early but satisfying imo.
Am I the only one to think that the Shadowgrounds titles are the best games from Frozenbyte?

I mean, from a technical standpoint, they aren't exactly stellar.. but I enjoy them more than trine or such.

yes
I'm still waiting for Splot for Linux, which was promised way back when in the frozenbyte humble bundle, and then completely abandoned as iOS only and a beta for Windows. >.<

Still, if they can recapture some of the magic from Trine 1 and 2, I might just be willing to take a look at 4.
I got Trine 1 & 2 here, and Trine 3 on Steam. Trine 2 especially courtesy of OP. Always wanted to have a Trine co-op marathon with my relatives but haven't got the right moment. Hopefully next new year gatherings will be a good time.
After the mess that was Trine 3, I don't have a lot of confidence in this.
